For context I'm on a language learning app, a girl reached out to me claiming to be from Singapore (half American).
As soon as her responses word count increase I'm immediate suspicious but play along. What really sealed the deal for me was the use of the word "tapestry" word lol.
I also asked her to send a voice message, she definitely has the accent but was reading English text clearly generated with GPT. Also I did ask her if she was using AI because maybe she's using it as a learning tool but she completely denied it.
What's strange about it is the fact it's a language app, I expect her writing level to be poor. I have no idea why trying to use GPT would make whatever scam she was planning sound more realistic.
