Anything glaringly wrong with this?

Bought a house with a blue board extension. There is this odd set up on the upper and bottom corner and I wonder if it used to be a pipe. There are no eaves on this side, and with the recent rain, we noticed the wall inside started bulging up (see last pictures, increased contrast a little).

My questions are, anything screams like a dodgy reno here? Should the wall have eaves to keep rain from getting directly to the wall and door? Also what type of tradie should we contact to fix this? Thanks!

Not sure if that would be a downpipe or a vent, either way should definitely be looked at by a plumber.

Couple other things to check - - Whether the new addition has had form of protection from ground water seeping up - roof condition above, lapping under side flashing as well as where the top of the roof sheet starts, and any if theres any flashing/weatherproofing there - door frame, seepage potential on top/sides?

All external doors need an awning of at least 1.8M, it will rot if exposed to south. Yes the reno looks dodgy.

Thanks, I will look into getting eaves installed. This is a laundry room and we don’t want to have to redo the extension if it got badly damaged.

It looks like they removed a downpipe to accommodate the extension judging by the cutout in the eaves and the pipe at the bottom. I have lived in a place where a door was set like that (not under eaves), it was a double brick home though. It definitely looks like the reno was done on the cheap.

I'd get out a roofing plumber to have a squiz at what's been done and have a look for any flaws or issues. I wonder if water is running down inside the walls along electrical cables?

Thanks. I will engage a plumber to have a look, and potentially look into getting eaves installed. The wall does have electric cables and powerpoint, that’s why it’s concerning if there is water going through there. The extension is less than 2 year old as well.

IMO wouldn't be too concerned about any of these if there is a decent downpipe on the extension. It is a pretty small roof area....

Not really your question. But your dog door looks way too big (sure it's for a big dog potentially) but those things that size can be a security issue.
