Loved that books when i was a kid!
Just gonna say, this made me think I watched an old cartoon that never existed with this cast. The expressions alone give me Rocko's Modern Life vibes ngl.
Ohw i loved that show!
Bananadactyl is my favorite.
I am reminded of Richard Scarry, specifically Cars and Trucks and Things That Go. ย Got a copy of it at Costco recently to read to my kid. A lot of the cars he draws are pure fantasy, including some carrot and banana themed vehicles. ย The whimsy of just drawing whatever weird thing comes to mind is fun to see.
Mine too! And drawing whatever indeed is most fun to do, it makes it fun to do it the way my chilhood self would do it ๐
I love that book! Have it for our kids too
Yeah these are ALL great, but that carrot-faced fellow is easily my favorite.
Thanks for sharing, OP. : )
thanks! Its my pleasure!
No problem at all, my dude. On a second viewing I also like how the tired-looking, mom dinosaur has a towel on her head even though dinosaurs donโt have hair. It makes no sense, but it speaks volumes about the character. : )
haha thanks!
Very cool. The food ones are especially great!
Need to draw healthy!
this made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside haha. I love dinosaurs
Haha awesome!๐
Very well done! The tea one is me, LOL
Thanks!
Kinda reminds me of the skeksis from The Dark Crystal.
I kind of want to talk to the guy in the top left to see what kind of stories he has. I feel like, as a parent, I could commiserate with the one in the bottom left.
Looks like a riff on the bad guy (Cyril Sneerย ) from Canadian cartoon The Racoons.
Omg top left totally looks like Cyril Sneer as a pterodactyl. I can hear his gravelly voice yelling at Bert. ๐คฃ
Your line work is incredible.
I think I see Lamar in here.
(Listen to Ninja Sex party's - I don't know what we 're talking about)
I expected somethin real weird before i googled it haha, but i see it now. I guess the bottom left?
As I understand it, when he's tired of flying he drives a car
He's got to get to work on time! His nursing job is on the line!
Very Don Bluth. I like it
Love it. Very clean work, colors pop, and it has plenty of character.
Grumpy egg pterodactyl ftw!
OMG these are fantastic!! I'm obsessed with these ๐
Glad you like them ๐
I love it! It's beautiful!
It belongs in a museum!
Absolutly!
Great style, reminds me a lot of the more modern versions of Akira Toriyamaโs monsters he designed for Dragon Quest, and none of these would feel out of place as enemies in the games!
What markers do u use ? These drawings are so cool btw u are very talented :)
Thanks! Copics and ohuhus!
Can you provide type of marker set and paper?
Sure! Copics and ohuhus! For paper some cheap sketchbook for 2 euro ๐
Yoo these are great
Did you consider becoming an Illustrator?
Thanks!
And have some projects done as an illustrator, so i am a little bit ๐
Makes 100% sense
Huge Flintstones vibes. Awesome stuff.
Love the fed up mother of two toddlers and a newborn look
Woooow, these are sooo good, props to you man, keep doing what you're doing!
Carrotdactyl but the first T is silent, as is tradition.
Yes indeed! Yes indeed!
I adore these. I think Carrodactyl is my favorite too. The derpy tongue steals the show. Was this for a project or a โIโm just gonna choose a subject and draw as many versions as I can think ofโ session? Those practice sessions are often my favorites as they can lead to designs and characters you never would have created if some had a specific thing they wanted drawn.
It was the second part! Its the way i like it most like you descripe!
Lovely designs! Great work. Thanks for sharing!
say, you should send those to a children's book publisher... you could probably get a contract to illustrate a new Dr. Seuss book (or something like that)
