Hera likes to shove her head into the crinkle toy and go nuts...
She certainly is tiny! And we are constantly going aww. Except when she derps out, lmao
What breed (s) is she? We've got 5 impossibly small Pekingese- Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix puppies. And they're about as small!
Just chihuahua. Wasn't really looking for a tiny chihuahua (just a chihuahua in general), but then we found her and there ya go.
We looked for a smallish dog on Craigslist and find ours, but when she was a year old she was only 5 pounds! Now she is about 6.5 lbs and a sweet and smart as any dog I've seen! We kept a little guy from her second litter and he's two yrs old and only 4.5 lbs! Also super sweet and smart.
Take care of your tiny one and yourself and have a great dog!
My brother has a chihuahua that was also a runt, was the tiniest puppy I've ever held.
Her brother is the same size. It's crazy to have something that small! I had a runt kitten that was the same way...
Yeah. Even my 2 rats are bigger
Is that a hamster
If anything, a guinea pig - makes some similar sounds! Lmao
I would correct that immediately. I know you are with her and watching now, but in the future, as it is an accepted behavior, you could be away and she could die from suffocation by doing this w a plastic bag, a chip bag, a sandwich bag, even a plastic bottle. It is a real concern. Even happens in the wild. Please consider your precious baby. Your clip shows you teaching her this "trick". Please reconsider this.
I'll talk to my boyfriend about it. Didn't even think of it becoming anything else... my last dog was a GSD. Got a learning curve for the little one!
Good on you! I can't imagine the heartbreak if he got his little head stuck inside a can or something while you weren't home. Especially being so tiny!
Found my chi dead in the pool. She had found a small chip bag, stuck her head in and must have stumbled into the pool. No shit, I still remember finding her (chip bag still on her head) and was heartbroken. I don't want you to have the same tragic thing happen. Please stop this play.
That's heartbreaking - I'm sorry for that.
Yes...It's very sad, happened to my mothers dog. He got his head stuck in a treat bag while no one was home. :(
Came here just for this.
Yeah this dog is not loving this game. They aren’t playing. They’re looking for an exit before they pass out from the co2.
Folks do not ever put a bag over your cat or dogs head like this. They can and do get stuck and some do not survive.
Is that the tiniest Chihuahua?
Yup!
They look like a toy, you could put them in your pocket! Adorable!
I thought about that... I'm also entertaining other ways to carry her around once she's had her full round of parvo shots.
One thing I gotta say with owning a chihuahua,I never would have guessed that one could be a workout partner. mine likes running like a big dog would, I can take her on a 5k run if it isnt too hot and she loves
I can believe it. This one goes and goes and goes... and then goes to bed.
Little pink belly puppy 🐶 😍
Right? And already is obsessed over belly rubs!
Train the dog or it’ll end up suffocating as it gets bigger
I always hated Chis because one that lived down the street when I was a kid always yapped and growled and chased me on my bike.
Then a friend, and an in-law, separately got them and I learned Chis are really sweet and affectionate dogs. I loved being around them.
I was the same way until I got my grandma's chihuahua-terrier for her. That dog was an absolute sweetheart - no ankle biting and not yappy in the least. My boyfriend lived with other Chis and said they were all awesome as well... which is how we ended up decided to get Hera. I'm starting the think the yappy nippy ones are not well socialized or trained...
I don’t understand why it’s so small..
Selective breeding
Combination of puppy and chihuahua... she'll max out about 3.5 pounds.

She's up again about 5 seconds later, tail going nuts. But the little dramatic flop (she's starting to do that during play time)... I think she's learning it from my cat!

Same! Though the dramatic flop is much more dramatic with a 17 pound cat then with a less then a pound puppy 🤣
I would be terrified of hurting that tiny little dog. Maybe it needs a little glow in the dark vest or collar. Or light up
She's too tiny for those yet! But have thought about putting a bell on her, lmao
She’s not going nuts. She’s stuck and scared.
She puts her own head inside, and runs around. She can easily get it back off - which she did about 10 seconds after the video ended. She also wags her tail through it. If she was scared she wouldn't keep repeating it, and if she was scared she wouldn't have her tail wagging. Someone else mentioned that it's bad to teach her that it's OK to do so because then she'll do it with other (actually dangerous) things, so we won't continue. But body language there is happy derpy dog.
I've never seen such a happy bean.
That little tail is almost always going. She's such a sweet and happy puppy!
Can she breathe in there???
