MakerDAO introduced two new stable coins, NewStable (NST) which is baclwd by RWA and will have a freeze function implemented, and PureDAI backed by decentralized assets (ETH, stETH) and whose fate regarding a freeze function is not yet known.
MakerDAO also announced that DSR will be fading away and that the only yield would be for NST.
Though NST and DAI will be convertible 1:1 in both directions.
What a terrible thing to introduce a freeze function in NewStable, the lack thereof was what made DAI truly valuable. Also nothing is said about a freeze function for PureDAI.
If you were loaned ETH you should repay the ETH, regardless of the USD value, that's how loans work.
Would it make sense to modify the consensus and protocol so a transaction can have a meta info which states it should not be included after a certain block height?

I made some progress, pressing the rightmost button while the power button is flashing makes the flashing stop and the printer becomes usable via USB, though in a weird mode that doesn't count pages when printing the status page. Also the scanner doesn't seem to work, but at least I can print!

The light has been flashing for several weeks now indeed, the printer is shown as busy from the Epson utility you are right. If I press the power button when it flashes the lower WiFi led and the ink drop one start flashing also. Pressing the power button once more then turns the printer off. When turned back on the blue flashing starts each time.
Unfortunately warranty period is long expired.
I did not initiate a firmware update so I guess no. No other lights are flashing.

My ET-2700 wasn't responsive so I unplugged it and replugged it back, unfortunately it now won't start and is always stuck with the power button flashing blue. Difect USB connection doesn't work either, the printer is marked unresponsive on the Mac.
