Minnesota is much further south than Copenhagen. I worked in St Paul for 5 years and can honestly say it is much darker and more gray in Copenhagen than Minnesota. On the flip side, Copenhagen gets no where near as cold and there’s much less snow. The long nights, brutal winds and the cold rain is really a downer in the winter months.
YTA. Iceland is culturally Scandinavian. This would not be acceptable in Scandinavia.

I was just there and loved it. The city is very walkable, the tours were great and the people were friendly. There’s much to like about Reykjavík. There’s interesting food, a nice craft beer scene and many things to see. The harbor area is nice.
Perhaps you should change your perspective and experience new things vs complaining about everything. Life is meant to be enjoyed so enjoy it.

Make sure your luggage is waterproof. Baggage handling at Keflavik is not good. The weather is not good here today and won’t be tomorrow either. Our luggage got drenched today after Icelandair left it out for 45 minutes in pouring rain.
Walmart does seem to have garbage leadership though. Just look at all the employees of Walmart who don’t make a living wage. Seems like the Walton family can afford to do better for their employees.
