Chavez wasn’t from here, I hear from some people he was rude to the people from Mexico and only wanted to represent Mex-Americans. I feel it will bring down the area especially around Sunnyside. If you wanted to represent him change a street that has fruit or grapes on that street or name a new street that is being built. They also could have had a sign where he marched , added to the existing street that honored him. Instead they pissed our tax money and upsetted people in that area. Fresno is so easily persuaded. My contacts are former farm workers that actually knew this guy.
