Ok. I am sick of my equipment sliding off the sides of my trailers. Even when if attach straps. The straps hold it down. But it still has lateral movement. Doesnt matter what trailer or what equipment. Its been driving me nuts ever since i started playing FS22. FS19 had a mod that would lock the equipment down. Is there any such mod for 22? Because I am so beyond over it. Its really the only thing i dont like about 22. Please and thank you.
They had one called John deere American farmer and JD north American farmer. Very similar to FS. I had them both.
Nothing wrong with that. Steiger made good tractors.
Case hands down. They make a damn good tractor. Plus you cant beat that 715 quadtrac. I dont mind the older deere tractors. Anything before the late 90s. The new deere's are not worth the hassle. I do like some of the old brands. Allis Chalmers, Minneapolis Moline, oliver, white made a decent tractor. The mid 70s fords were pretty good. But I still stand by my initial statement.
I absolutely hate peafowl. Obnoxious cry. They shit on everything. And they can be quite aggressive.
I am partial to the case equipment personally. Cant beat those MX series and quadtracs..... but there are a few JDs i absolutely loved running. 4440 is my all time favorite full size tractor.
Well i grew up dairy farming. We lost the farm in 03. And i just really miss it. I have worked on other farms. Both running equipment and hauling commodities. But for the past 5yrs i have lived in Alaska. Not much farming in my area. Nearest dairy is 6ish hrs away. Nearest produce is an hour. Not alot of usable land close to me.... So on my games i always run a dairy cow barn or 2. I usually use the 4x maps. I am used to large scale farming. Those maps with tiny fields annoy me lol. Our smallest field was 50 acres. So yeah used to alot bigger fields. Seeing as we were milking 2500 head 3x a day. Lol But i also run construction equipment. So lately I have been into the mining maps.
750 isnt really that much. In terms of north American agriculture. 750 is barely mid sized. If you are talking about wheat/corn/bean farming. Even hay farming uses more acreage.
Dont even know what it is.
I been out of the farming scene for a bit. Last farm i worked for was in 2015. Our big thing on that farm was a fairly large drum composter. Largest in the county. A local company builds them. They actually ship worldwide. They are pretty impressive.
Those amphibious pumps/agitators are pretty neat in all honesty. We had floating aerators. Which were the thing 25yrs ago. How things have changed.
Its not a bad drive. Moose are a lil harder to see. But beyond that its better at night. Less people and less construction. Plus this time of year it doesnt even get dark here. At best its kinda twilight til the sun comes back over the horizon.
Coming from a large seed potato growing region. No till doesnt always work. Most root crops need deep tillage AKA plowing. Even we tilled when switching from grass to corn. Corn to grass we just chisled and disced. No till isnt that popular where i grew up. Not saying it doesnt work. In some areas it works great. For large scale grain production its the way to go. But its not the be all end all solution that some people claim it to be.
Injecting is not new. We had an injector 25yrs ago. First we have a disc style. The we built a spike harrow injector. Which fast became the preferred method in our area. Now splash pan seems to be the big one now. We used drag hose for it. More economical then using tankers.
People underestimate how deadly heat can be. Alot of people are like its not that hot. Until its to late. Doesnt have to be triple digits to cause a heat injure. After contracting severe heat exhaustion 10yrs ago my tolerance to heat has severely diminished. I was sick for 2 days because of it. Its not pleasant. I was out in high 90s heat for 2 days. And my body was like nope had enough.i was drinking plenty of fluids but the amount of time spent out in the heat is what caused it. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are 2 different things. Heat stroke is elevated body temp which leads to loss of consciousness, dizziness, inability to think clearly if conscious, the person stops sweating and if not treated quickly death. Heat exhaustion sometimes called heat cramps is normal body temp with headache, extreme thirst, aching muscles/joints full consciousness, dizziness and if the person is not removed from the heat it can progress into heat stroke which is life threatening. I now live in a much cooler climate. 75 is a hot day 80 is extremely hot. Anything above 80 is rare. Its only hit 90 twice in recorded history. Both in the summer of 2019.
I been using maizeplus since i started playing. Took some time to get it all figured out. Unless you are raising dairy cattle its kinda pointless. There is Lot to the mod. But once you get the hang of it. Its a pretty cool mod.
Its the warm water of the pacific ocean that keeps it mild in western WA. Vs the cold water of the Atlantic. Plus the mountains to the east block alot of the cold Canadian interior winds. Go to the northern part eastern WA and you will find negatives are fairly common in winter.
Alaska enters the chat and trumps all you "northerners".....
I run the 715 quad trak almost exclusively. I do have a case mod that lets me do 800hp on a 400 MX series. I play on a 4x map. Very large fields. So i need very large equipment. Almost all my tractors are Case. I rarely use Deere. Only a select few that i grew up running. Those are mostly for nostalgia purposes. I have never used any European brands. Well accept the Claus choppers. Beyond that i am strictly NA brands. Even most of my implements are NA. Its what i know.
I grew up on a fairly large dairy. So i do a fair amount of large scale dairy farming on the game. Reminds of home.
I caught a wild out of lake Terrell up in whatcom county about 15yrs ago. Only wild i have ever caught.
I play the 4x version of it. Its my main map.
What is a fun map with big fields that doesn't change too much from vanilla?
