Backspin doesn’t generate velo it sustains it. And what do you mean, the wrist angle is what matters because for most people when they throw a fastball their arm angle and wrist angle are the same.

Watch Trevor Bauers video on the magnus effect

The higher the arm slot the more downward force can be placed on the ball thus creating backspin. The more backspin the more air the laces pull back. This is referred to as the magnus effect. By resisting gravity more the ball moves faster. To explain this in simpler terms. The higher the arm slot the faster, lower arm slot = slower. Any questions?

At first I thought it was just a disk golf basket. Still would have been funny 😆

But like a top 20 at each position would be so helpful. Do you know where else i can’t find that sort of stuff

It’s insta, what do you expect?

His lower half mechanics will fix themselves over time (for the most part). The problem is the pushy arm action. I’d look up some tutorials for cleaning up his arm action. Hope this helps.

Do you know someone who throws a cutter

Right now I throw a four seam fastball, two seam fastball, splitter that I use as a change up, and slider. I definitely agree after posting this that cutter is probably the way to go.

Looking for a low 3/4 arm slot pitcherQuestion

I’m a low 3/4 arm slot pitcher and I am trying to develop either a curveball or a cutter. I am trying to find a pitcher who has my arm slot and throws a cutter or curveball or both. Doesn’t have to be an MLB player, but just somebody who has enough film to study and learn from. Thanks in advance.
