Well, kinda, but if you’re writing a multi-clause headline that sets up a comparison between two things, there really needs to be a verb to identify what the comparison is comparing — otherwise it’s just a bunch of words with no meaning.

OK, Asshat - let’s look at the marketshare (if we’re still hung up on that metric, instead of revenue share or profit share) among computers that were bought by the user vs. computers that were bought by an IT department.
It’s MUCH more expensive, and requires way more IT people (with silly IT certifications in arcane technologies) to buy and maintain windows machines as measured by total cost of ownership. But the fact that you can save a few dollars on the initial purchase price makes short-term-thinking accounting departments salivate — and thus a self-replicating duopoly in the C-Suite was born, and the world is worse for it to the tune of hundreds of trillions of dollars.
