probably because whining is boring and signing days are a ways away

Named my FJ Cruiser Harvey when I got it 6 years ago. 34 inches of clearance and retreats ready in the hill country — let’s go.

It’s that time of the year when beloved members of r/LonghornNation move over to r/TropicalWeather to do work.

Our fans have been speed-running being obnoxious since we tasted success during the Herman era.

It's part of being good after being bad for a long time -- we understandable want to rub it in people's faces. But growing up, Texas was Texas, and fans acted like we'd been there before -- we let our conference pull, on-field performance and alma mater do the talking.

I'd like to get back to that some day but it's doubtful. The internet has turned us all into trolls.

I think we should just call Texas "Texas" and Tennessee can have UT.

It's just as easy to say, everyone I know who went to Texas calls it Texas anyway, and Tennessee cares more about the UT thing.

Went to high school with that dude. Didn't have classes with him because he was a meathead but he was a super nice guy. Very Christian, conservative, fits the bill.

Career has been on a fast-track since he played catcher for KSU -- turned around Maryland and had a great first year with Bama, at age 37.

The only thing that helps me in times like that is;

Motivation is unreliable. Just do.

It helps me with writing, work and house projects. I'm not perfect, and to be honest I never pursued higher education because I was always terrible at studying.

The other big thing is setting up your identity narrative for the bar -- who do you want to be?

my wife and i created a shared email address ([email protected]) about 15 years ago and it has simplified all our communication in a similar way.

It’s a hatchery for Aggies to assimilate to their future homes in Katy and Pearland.

They're being patronizing because they beat A&M, so they can pity them from their parade.

Aggies just want a friend, so they're happy to have the help.

If we lost to a conference school in a championship and they were trying to stick up for Texas like we needed their help, I don't think we'd accept the condescension tbh.

Aggies are only fun when they’re super sad.

When they’re all red-faced and mad I get bored.

yeah turns out unlikable people generally don't like being around other unlikable people either

they enjoy having the "connections" on paper, but sitting and talking together seems to be a real stretch for them

for 13-14 years now we've had this subreddit, and it's grown to 35k users, and theirs has sat dormant because they can't keep a conversation going unless it's with other fanbases in public subs

I couldn't do it.

I'm not that strong.

And I'm not that brave.
