That first number just denotes the width in mm the tire and rim width are. Sounds compatible, some tires just have really tight beads. I fought my Gravelking tires so hard to get them on my rims that I actually blistered my finger.

27.5 and 650b are the same 584 ISO though. Or am I missing something in your comment?

The only time I really use the bungees is if I’m carrying something heavy that I don’t want to shift in the basket, like a case of La croix or something. I think net would do about any situation in a smaller basket as you’ll likely not have anything that heavy lower than the top of your basket.

Edit: but a couple bungees won’t hurt if you’re not trying to shave grams. 😎

“Lucky” - Napoleon Dynamite

I have a cargo bike with a huge basket (Clydesdale fork) and I keep a few bungees on the basket and a net in my lil frame pack. Both have been useful depending on what I’m strapping down but a net on a smaller basket would be ideal.

Idk estate sales and whatnot can be lottery, though this is most likely not the case here

I have the Gore shoe covers but they’re a little on the baggy side. They’ve kept my feet pretty dry. I had a 400k with rain on and off (plus wet roads) for the entire ride this past Saturday and they kept my feet pretty dry, though I did change socks midway. This was an exceptionally wet 400 though so I’d say that’s pretty good.

This is my next move. Shimano SPD sandal and SealSkin socks for colder rains, no socks for warmer.

I’m not sure what the clearances are on that frame but I’d say a 28mm + tire would go a long way to make it more comfortable. Plenty of randos where I live using full carbon road bikes. I run a couple of bikes - a more traditional low trail 650x42 as well as a carbon gravel bike with 700x35. Both work excellently.

Although the kitchen sink didn’t feel good in the drops for me, I have 2 bikes with the cruise control grips on them and they’ve been amazing for distance rides. Won’t go without them now.

Pink and Celeste housing are my trademark. Prepare to battle.

I’ve been called worse things by better people. Good job getting out there.

Unlike others, I like how obnoxious the front rack looks. The rear I could do without but function over fashion.

Put a life size clown in there. Invite friends. Keep lights dim/off. Enjoy.

That’s called siping and it’s done by the manufacturer for grip.

Edit: unless you’re referring to the height of the knobs, which some racers will modify that to give it certain characteristics the stock tire doesn’t give them. Good chance it’s just worn out though.

Judging by the water bottles, you must be a fungi to hangout with! 😃

The holy grail. I’m not worthy!

Came here to mention this. Thanks for your diligence.
