I agree with this SO much. My husband and I met in college. Moved together right after. But travelled, managed some really tough family things in both sides, lost 3/4 parents, had a baby and then we got married. It’s gotta be thick and thin for me and for a while there, there was A LOT of thin and guess who’s still here? Us.

I don’t think that means as much as it used to, I’m sure to some people but not as much as it used to. I dated my husband for 6 months before we moved in together (I was 20 and he was 24). We didn’t get married until 12 years together. We had a baby around year 10 lol. Some people are the opposite. Everyone’s so different.

Must have! They enjoyed their time before me and my brother. Hes ‘87 and I’m ‘90! Married for almost 10 years before choosing to have us! Smart people!

Im thinking they are around 20, they got married in ‘79 at age 24 and this was before that. I always thought they looked more mature in this picture than I do now (I’m 33). I think it’s the lack of smile and my dads beard 😂

Waking up, bringing out my wireless tape player and making up dances to Spice Girls with my neighbourhood friends. And just being outside ALLL DAY long finding stupid things to do.

In high school I very gingerly vented to an acquaintance that my best friend had no other friends than me because she only hangs out with her boyfriend. That acquaintance told her, spun the story really wildly and that was that. It’s 20 years later and our kids will be in school together and we’re fine but definitely not best friends and I STILL miss that but she still really only hangs out with her husband lol so 😅
