Turning red was huge on streaming. It didn’t grab everyone like a Frozen, because it’s a bit specific to a certain era (90’s boybands/culture) and culture. But for the right people it was a huge movie.

Ik heb gewerkt als semi-ambtenaar; Een universiteit. Het was echt alsof elk stereotype over ambtenaren waar was. Gemiddelde leeftijd 50+. Allemaal aftellen naar pensioen. Achterhaalde kennis en nul motivatie.

Op vrijdag werkte iedereen thuis. Dat betekende online zijn op teams. Verder elke dag een beetje rond het koffieapparaat rondhangen en koffie lurken.

Op een gegeven moment hadden mijn collega’s (we zaten in een apart gebouw, niet bij de andere faculteiten) een lege ruimte omgebouwd tot dartruimte met alles erop en er aan. Daar verdwenen ze regelmatig een uurtje.

I saw Trent walking around at a festival he was playing at for the With Teeth tour. He came from backstage and walked by a bunch of fans who didn’t notice him. One guy was wearing a PHM shirt with skinny Trent on it and also didn’t recognize Trent. It was quite funny to see.

I’m talking about the plot. Strip out the Toy Story brand/look and it’s a very cool, but niche sci-fi film. It was barely related to the Buzz Lightyear people know and love.

Amsterdam and Berlin

Luka was the most generic a pixar movie has been. I felt absolutely nothing. Turning Red was a great story with some really great universally recognizable emotional elements.

Lightyear was the opposite of a mass market appeal film. It was a hard-sci-fi movie for fans of timetravel movies. Not a universal kid movie. No kids liked it. But sci-fi nerd appreciated it.

I know, but they specifically announced them as back to back movies. Because it’s an extension of the first one. So it’s still odd how they planned it.

I was initially happy she was back in Scream 7, but I found her acting to very be pretty bad. Like she was stiff.

Well since they originally planned a sequel 1 year after Across. Not 5 years. This is all extra delayed time.

Adrenaline?

Almost forgot WaterWorld. Basically water Mad Max in the 90s. It flopped financially but it was a great action movie.

Speed

The movie did not just use CG. It’s a combination of a real girl, make up and latex masks. Depending on the scene.

Wayne ruined it.
