I have ventilation slits on my jacket and it does not help at all, once you're sweaty and the jacket adhere to whatever you are wearing underneath it does not make any difference. Maybe it helps circulating a bit more of air when you want to dry it when you are not wearing it...

I absolutely agree on that... furthermore, do you parry with the flat of the blade, or are you using a grip with your thumb sticking up, like a german messer? If your sparring partner isn't going for the hand and you are reciving lots of hits on your hand there is something you're not doing in the best way...
You may be using gloves, but seems you need better one. I also am curios about what weapons you use, because i don't think is normal to be constantly hit in the thumb, may be also a matter of how you hand position? Just a speculation...

Ci sono una serie di problematiche non ancora risolte su uniformità del prodotto, terreni di coltura, scalabilità della produzione, sostenibilità economica e approvcigionamento della materia prima che richiedono ancora profondi sviluppi prima di essere ad un livello commercialmente valido. Detto questo la ricerca è bene che sia fatta perchè può essere un'ottima risorsa in futuro, ma per ora è qualcosa di difficilmente proponibile, oltre che essere stata approvata in casi molto rari e particolari.

Ty, that's intreresting...the foot pointing outward is common in other manuals too, but in the one i've read there was little mentioning about the pointing of the rear foot. I know Dalle Agocchie more for the description of the weapons than the fencing technique
the whole point is exactly the left foot forward: in the defences against thrusts which i refer to, the main defence is provided by a "passo intero" (a step where you put forward the foot that was previously the rear one) diagonally, so that you either move out of the blow and you also close the distance from the opponent... for what concerns the left handed opponent it was an advice that was given to me and maybe (not for sure) was also given by some manual, being in a left guard you are exposing less your armed arm and the front leg.
Coda lunga & alta is particularly useful (in my opinion) when facing lefthanded opponents and in some manuals is used to defend against thusts, so that you cam step sideway and mantain advantage on the opponent's weapon

La questione dal mio punto di vista è molto semplice: Va contro il principio per il quale c'è una separazione tra maschile e femminile negli sport. È una distinzione fatta per questioni di competitività e per via di principi biologici, non perchè lo sport pensa che le donne se ne debbano stare nel loro angolino. Non cambia se per via di motivi personali hai deciso che ti senti meglio ad essere donna, se hai il corpo di un uomo la competizione è ingiusta.
Io che sono un pantofolaro che fa fatica a piegarsi per allacciarsi le scarpe verrei distrutto da qualsiasi atleta femminile, non dico, ma la questione è diversa quando si paragonano atleti profesionisti.
