Hello. I was under the impression that most apps are banned from China, such as whats app etc. However, after arriving here I've found that everything still works fine. Does anybody know what this is about as I'm a tad confused and don't want to get into trouble. Thanks
I've done a few long hauls. The only time I've ever slept was on one where I got quite lucky (no other passengers next to me) and was able to lay on the chairs.
Just in my experience, not sleeping is exhausting, but you don't get any jet lag afterwards.
If you are staying awake, just pick a good film series with multiple films to watch. I.e Lord of the rings, hunger games etc. There's usually one available on an airline.
Yeah it's worth putting in a tank now and again. Its not for performance, its just for the cleaning additives. It's just doing the same thing redex does really.
You might do but it's a s hole lol
Engineer here. In the part of the industry I'm in, I don't think any company I've been at has been completely secure but it's not difficult to switch companies, so I guess there's job security in that sense.
1000-2000 is probably a bit optimistic. You would have to do the casino alongside also. Most people seem to average around 300/400, but that's just your average Joe doing it on the side. It's pretty easy to clear 1000 doing the sign up bonuses when you first start though
In my experience they don't just give you a pay rise. You've gotta fight for it a bit. They often show some resistance so you have to be prepared to explain exactly what value you bring.
I am a believer in hard work and trying your best in the work environment but it's benefited me just as much as the employer, since my main focus is developing and acquiring knowledge. I find the more useful you make yourself, the more likely people are to share their knowledge with you.
Thats around my commute. Twice a day. Is that commute time during rush hour traffic? Mines actually only 35 minutes but around 1.5 hrs due to rush hour traffic.
I've been doing it for a year. Sometimes it's ok, but things like accidents, road works etc will make you late. Is your employer going to be ok with that?
Doing it for a year, I'm switching jobs as I've had about enough of it lol
Star wars. I'm afraid to admit I haven't seen it as I bitch about how boring it is
Depends. I think you are both being a bit melodramatic.
You might have had just as many issues if you got a mini van.
If you are both paying for it then you pick something you both like and both make a compromise.
Your kids having nights over it breaking down... come on lol get a grip
I'm not bothered about my clothes but I'll make sure I don't smell
Are you planning on working there the rest of your life? If you want a better paid job you need to learn better paid skills
It's an immediate red flag if they refuse to show you a copy of a contract before handing in a notice. It's a perfectly reasonable request
I don't think it's just the housing but it's a contributing factor. For me, it's the pressure of not earning enough and needing two incomes. We have one child but the thought of having another is quite daunting when taking all the costs into account. Bare in mind, we both have skilled jobs (me and my partner that is) but still feel like just one of those incomes would not be enough to support it.
In the 60's, engineers (me) wages were probably enough to support a large family as well as pay a mortage. Same goes for her work. It's everything though, not just housing costs. Just the cost of living/childcare costs in general.
I'm not British born but lived here all my life. Half my family are English. I was recently denied an interview because of that. It was in the defence sector.
Don't take it to heart. It's just policy and nothing personal.
Betfred, paddy and poker stars are all part of the same group (I think). It's a large group with some others in there too.
I used to play a lot of poker on poker stars but self excluded myself from the casino feature as I was in a bit of a bad habit of blowing my winnings on roulette being drunk and stupid. It affected me being able to open accounts with their sister companies. Wasn't anything to do with match betting or gubbings. Definitely regretted self banning a year down the line when I started match betting lol
Learn a trade or go to uni whilst you don't have much responsibility.
Markets bad now but in 3/4 years time by the time you finish it would have most likely improved.
'So it's closer to where you live. Is that the only reason you want to work here?'
'Yeah pretty much'
If you weren't match betting and your horse or whatever came in would you just take it out in dabs? Most wouldn't.
Plumb some pneumatic pipe onto the gun and tape something thin and sturdy onto it
Never seen anything like that. We would usually just design something.
Grooved wheels, or any kind of bearing is easy to fix on to something since the outer race sits proud of the inner race, allowing for easy mounting whilst still allowing for free rotation. So you could just mount them directly on to a plate with a caphead screw. To compress the rope though you would need a means of adjusting the height of either one of the wheels to set your gripping tension. Probably why something like this doesn't exist.
Doesn't look complicated, a couple of plates/brackets with some threaded bar would be enough. Depends on the load really and how pretty (thickness of your wallet) it needs to look.
Expecting me to think your baby is cute and I want to hold it
What's something that people do, that is completely justified, but irritates the he'll out of you?
