Some can enhance bass some can give more clarity(like the spring tips) then depending on how they are made they can fit better/worse in your ears. Usually iems have in my experience bad stock ones
I did the same, reduced the clear bass and low end a bit to make it more neutral. NC is amazing for sure. But then since I tried Moondrop Spring Tips its like i found the perfect fit for my ears to do the job as well(struggle with most tips somehow)

Couldn't agree more. Its like if you can't do something in a few seconds/minutes the content is trash. I decided to slowly play through all soulslike that are good on the side, currently hardstuck on Abyss Watcheds in DS3 im 33 and man that shit gives me sweats

Owned wh xm4 twice (thought one was broken) now owning cadenza, wouldn't trade it for the Sony's. Unless it was gifted to me, then I'd sell them to buy cadenza and keep the change.
It's snowflake syndrome. Not every game or difficulty is made for everyone. Nothing wrong with the game being hard, either you put it in your head that's why they are called soulslikes(part of the reason ofc). Its not for everyone.

Some people just need to get good. Friend of mine just started the DLC and he is not even good at souls games, he encountered the knight with the two swords for his first boss apparently and oneshot it. He even wondered where all the complaints came from if even he can do this?

Also out of curiosity i took the KA13 today with me to work, its nice but kinda big for out and about or is it just me?
The KA13 was just a thought for the pc since it has already a usb adapter. Can't tell you yet since its on its way still, but I would say the main reason I bought the JA11 is the inline mic support, for when you're out and about and want to answer calls. But also a "oh its only this much? can't hurt to try" thing.
