I’m perfectly fine how I am. Be well.
Congrats! I’m a UM alum, you’re gonna love it! 🙌🏾
It’s a private HBCU in Miami Gardens, less than 2K students
Glad to hear that man, happy that it worked out for you
🤣🤣🤣 I weirdly like the building (on the outside), but I know I’m a very select few who does lol. The inside however is a different story…😅
They’re just pictures man. It really isn’t that deep. Most people see the outsides of buildings. I personally couldn’t care less about what FIU’s gym or cafeteria looks like.
It makes sense given the history of the city though. It’s by far the newest/youngest of all the cities of a similar name recognition.
Didn’t get its first big public school til the 1970s where most other big cities had them established in the 1800s. For a long time UM was basically the only school down here, and UM itself isn’t even 100 years old yet, much younger than its other private school peers.
Personally, I think the reason FIU has taken so long to really boom/take off like USF and UCF have is because of its name. Florida International really isn’t an attractive name for a school so I think many non-South Floridians won’t take it as seriously.
Agreed though, there needs to be major investment in our local schools. We need like two more big public universities
anything to make yourself feel better
Just like you guys last year
Who has the most titles of all of these? Hmm
I don’t like comparing schools like that to put others down, but universities are also more than just law schools. You could argue that UM’s med school is “superior in every conceivable way”
They all do a good job serving the community and providing an education.
It’s for complaining about Miami!
Fr though, I think it’s just meant for anything Miami: locals, tourists, specific events, advice, sports, random questions, anything Miami.
South Pointe Pier is gorgeous. The views of the city you get are unmatched
If you got a great scholarship from UM I don’t see why not. UM has a pretty good communications school and I’m sure you’ll enjoy the school and the city. It’s definitely not like an SEC school (most similar would probably be Vandy and even those are pretty different) so you’ll have to be aware of that change
🤣🤣 my bad, fixed it!
If we’re going purely by city limit populations, the answer has to be Miami
Which city has a striking skyline despite its “small” inner-city population?
