In Philly, people will routinely slash your tires if you take their street parking spot that they shoveled out.

I think Miles living in a nice building with secure parking garage makes him hard to get to. You'd have to be a resident and residents of nice buildings have things at stake and will follow laws and rules.

Lots of immigrants working under the table / larger labor pool for restaurants (life is harder for workers) reduces labor costs on the supply side.

Lower median income in NYC means fewer people willing to pay $50 per person on the demand side.

Even if it's 30 degrees on the summit (relatively warm), when the wind picks up (which it usually does) you'll be shivering in no time.

I wasn't us nsw, but was a combat swimmer for an ally that also has a hell week. Two in my class dropped with seizures - one during an ibs carry and another while waiting to start a swimming evolution.

Sleep deprivation and stress causes seizures in some people. They fall to the ground, eyes roll back and start spasming. Makes for a loud noise if they have swimming fins

Most people are hallucinating by the third night and the body also forces you to "microsleep" - pass out standing for a few seconds etc. Also seizures leading to a medical drop are common.

You could do it fine, especially with the level of foot traffic on the route, but I'd try to recruit at least one other person from your class to double check knots etc.

Have access to a friend's car because you'll often find that you'll need an extra tool or part after you start a job. Also have a backup plan in case you can't get it done by Monday morning.

It's a good price for a relatively low mileage running 4x4 comparable to a 4runner of the same era. You'll probably be wrenching on it frequently as it's getting old though.

For typical hunting ranges out to about 300-400 yards, copper is more than good enough (and penetrates and expands better than most lead bullets). For shooting long range matches lead makes sense.

Also, the bullet smacking a target at 2000 fps means that the lead tends to get everywhere as these xrays show and eating 2 or more meals per week put children and pregnant women at risk.

I usually bow hunt, but copper and steel are my go to for rifle / shotgun hunting at this point.

Are you a newly minted army private considering signing your life away at 30% apr on a charger / mustang?

A miata isn't that expensive and will bring you plenty of joy.

Get extra wiper fluid - Golden ran out when I went and you can't see a thing without it. They're both sick - you're going to have a lot of fun.

It's usually too hot during peak summer season when you're moving. Shorts under shell and I still have my vent zips open

I think the Australian super with the flexibility but forced deduction is the best system among developed countries.

Should get it signed by spoon and cross too.

If you didn't touch the rears, they didn't leak.

The front right definitely kept leaking and you may have screwed up the front left and it also leaked. You probably lost so much brake fluid it just pooled under your rear wheels. You might as well tow it to a shop at this point because they'll have to bleed your master cylinder, maybe abs, entire system.

It'll be fine, small econo cars are noisier on roadtrips, but better on gas and will do great. Just get your oil changed, maybe coolant/brake fluid changed, have your belts/hoses/brakes checked beforehand.

I know it's hard to quantify impact as an intern, but I think you should try to quantify your impact as much as possible for each of your roles.

Also are you tailoring your resume to mirror the language in each job posting? Given that you're going for a function shift/industry shift, it's the best way to get noticed by recruiting.

And even that isn't that helpful in sticking out in a flood of resumes and applications. Are you networking with alumni / people you met at your internship / professors with industry ties?

Strategy/ops consulting firms (Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, and the big 4's consulting arms etc) hire fresh grads as business analysts / associate consultants. It's a different job than an industry consultant.

It's more of a wealth transfer from the taxpayers to defense contractors. Shoot a bullet, buy a bullet, taxpayers pay for it.

Cheaper than a lesson, helped with on piste carving and hearing instant feedback and cues for what to focus on. I only used it a few days this year when the snow off piste was bad.
