Yeah AirNZ need to get it logged in World Tracer, the IATA global service for lost baggage tracking. I have no magic to suggest to make them do so, that said.

Yep, they did a "systems upgrade" early March and it's been fucked since. Huge backlog which means we're in for a long long recovery to what they think are expected processing time.

With at the same time "back office" jobs being cut you get the sense there will be a coming realisation they can't meet previous expectations.

No seriously, has anyone's rent actually dropped?

Mine is up another $20 a week shortly. Cool story about this rent going down bullshit.

You know a lot of those business types gleefully voted NACT and are now having their face eaten.

They'll be blaming Labour tho.

Delusional as usual.

I'm just proud of a rover that goes 35m before it explodes or falls over and then explodes.

Roof because anything else is a huge pain. I don't really like the way as traditionally a farmer with limited plots we end up with towers capped by piles and everything else is farmed land but that's just how things end up min-max.

The reason people are discouraged to buy second hand car seats or capsules is you have no idea what it's been subjected to, or if it remains safe

It's a bit of a crap situation for capsules as the little ones really don't need them for long before you can graduate to covetable car seats.

If you were going down the A320 family path and accept the smaller lift and range, might as well just expand the P-8 fleet since IIRC it's the same space.

We already run the P-8 so no real advantage to getting in refit A320 family.

It'd be a significant snub to our preferred military partner to not buy Boeing. It's the way other replacements have gone as well (eg the new P-8 aircraft, more or less a Boeing 737 mil spec).

It could still happen, but my guess is also the Airbus option (A330 MRTT) is too big for us when for a mix of evac, troop and VIP transport we'd be better served by something smaller, if they ever did say an A321XLR military version, but that doesn't exist off the factory floor.

To be fair to RNZAF there isn't a Boeing replacement for the 757, and they're unlikely to buy Airbus.

So it'll be a long winded process to figure out the actual roles it needs to cover and then discover no one has build capacity for ages and they can't get their comprise options anyway.

Senior Leadership, in IT. But while still technically in IT it's very little hands on anymore and mostly budgets, planning, people management. It's not bad or anything tho!

All heaters are at least 100% power efficient as all energy they consume will eventually become heat, even if emitted as light or sound from moving parts like fans.

Whether a given heater is good at heating a room given their power consumption does vary by the design of the heater and the nature of the room and usage, but this is more apparent feel than literal power to heat.

Only heat pumps are more than 100% efficient because they don't spend energy heating air, they spend it compressing and expanding a gas/liquid material, to pump energy from one place to another. This costs less energy than the amount of heat moved, which is why they are more than 100% efficient.

I'm sure there will be plenty of resources to spy on the cheeky darkies while cutting back anything they looks at the far right.

It costs more to collect it than the debt. They actually save money in overheads to forgive debts under about $50.

I've traveled as far as NZ to the UK with a twins large stroller, and it was possible to gate check it, although it was quite a mission (it really needed a bag to put it into and the bag was not exactly easy to pack it into with hordes at the gate and young children!)

That said it's almost luck if you'll actually get it at the arrival gate for a layover, especially a tight connection.

My advice is talk to the airline about getting access to one at check-in and layover instead, if at all possible, but YMMV, I mean twins full size strollers are probably the worst case and so my experience is a bit jaded.

Taking a chainsaw to the public service, net reduction in spend on everything relative to GDP, all to fund the all important dignity for landlords cuts and $20 to me? No fucking way is that right.

I'm pretty sure if that stat is actually substantiated, it'll come down to a lot of people don't trust specific media, which becomes 70% don't trust some media therefore 70% don't trust media.

I don't trust Newstalk ZB or The Herald a lot, so I guess I'm in the same boat as conspiracy theory cookers.

The fine for opening was tiny and simply "cost of doing business". Either make the fines crippling to business or give up. Appears give up has been chosen.

All this talk about it being good for buyers is propaganda to get more heat into the market and bring prices up.

Probably tonight, and maybe tomorrow night. There have been further large CME and flares. Won't be quite as strong but still the best we've had in decades.

1-2 double shots a day. Hard to judge how long a bag lasts. Couple of weeks per 200ish gram bags I reckon

Okay well now I have to try it out. I've avoided BF since it generally seemed to be far too high priced for pretty average or below average, and wasn't as good as its peak days. We shall see then!
