there is a large brick and mortar seed bank in Jackson, Michigan you can go to. It's called Seed Cellar. Depending on how far south in Illinois you are that might be a easy trip once a year to pick up seeds.

Ethos Big Detroit Energy has probably been my favorite so far. Got 2 different phenos from the seeds. all 3 plants looked very simillar, with ENORMOUS main Colas and incredible yield from the others. Took the Trellis and training extremely well, and didn't mind if i was late on watering or overwatered. Even more impressive than the plants stability is the terps. Both phenos were incredibly strong tasting and high, I don't test THC% or anything but I can tell by smoking it that it is easily the highest I've grown. One pheno was very Citrus forward with some flowery tastes in the middle and then a gas aftertaste. The other had gas front to back with the citrust and floral notes just kind of sprinkled in.
Fat Cat Labs Purple Flamingo is the best looking plant that I've grown, it's one of those strains that has Purple in its name for a reason... just not on the buds. It was crazy, bright green beatiful buds but the deepest darkest purple leaves I've ever seen. Extremely strong skunk smell, like, overpowered the plants around it. In a tent of 10 plants I could only smell those 3 Purple Flamingos. Taste was the same, very strong skunk taste, overpowered the other terps in there, so I guess if you like Skunk, this is the way to go. I don't like skunk, so I gave most of this away, but these plants were a dream to grow.
Ethos Member Berry was a bit of a passion project of mine. I got hooked on Member Berry and Member OG from some concentrate I got at a dispensary, looked up the breeder and bought the beans. I grew a few of them in one grow and they were great, with a strong berry taste and a hint of skunk coming out the back, and a light gas from start to finish. it has a very distinct taste and I could easily blind taste test that one and tell you which was Member Berry. Then I popped a member berry seed like 4 weeks before I started my next grow, so this lady had a huge veg, 11 weeeks, and she filled up an entire 4x4 square of my 8x8 by herself, took very well to training, and produced as many bud sites as i could ask for. Got some purple hues towards the end which was fun but the most impressive part is the extra veg time seemed to not only help the weight and size but the taste was enhanced too (this could be because i was getting better at growing and better equipment though). I got a massive yield off of it too, somewhere around 12 oz which I was super happy with because I didn't think the buds were all that big, but they were dense as hell.
Otherwise I had some really good luck with Ethos Cherry Gar-See-Ya, Ethos Purple Susnet, and Ethos End Game "The Punch Line". Nothing special as a plant, but incredibly terpy and one pheno of the Cherry Gar-See-Ya was so triched out that it looked like that Sugar Cane strain that people are using for washing and pressing. Currently growing some Seed Junky Genetics and an Ethos/Fresh Coast Collab and can't wait to see how they turn out.
Anyone shitting on weed just by looking at it doesn't know what they're talking about. Unless it has some obvious flaws like mold you're just not getting a good idea of it. If you think its fire, then its fire. You may look back after you get mroe experience and say, yeah that stuff wasn't near as good as what I make now, but none of that matters today. Today, you smoke your homegrown weed like the king you are.
There is a thriving music festival scene in Europe, but unfortunately it's quite different than in the US. Hippy festivals with bluegrass and jam bands that cater to hippies doing psychedelics is pretty ubiquitous, very high vibes, and great community is expected at these events. You can say the same about EDM festivals both here and in UK/Europe but not all of them and the vibe, though still usually quite good and still a solid feeling of community is a lot more hit or miss.

I would not really recommend EDM only festivals to someone looking for a psychedelic festival, or really big festivals like Bonaroo, EF being the exception to the big festival because the entire thing is a psychedelic experience. Okee could definitely fit here but I forgot if it's still happening. To each their own, but between the thread and this guy looking for a psychedelic festival I really wouldn't want to take them somewhere like lost lands or Bonaroo as a representation of a psychedelic festival. You definitely listed some of the best fests out there though!
put them outside for like 1 hour the first day, 2 hours the second day, 3 hours the third day, etc and that will help the transition
Depends on where you live in the US. There are sooooo many great ones out there. Some bigger and some smaller, much different vibe, still a ton of fun either way.

There are still tons of us that follow jam bands around and do drugs at those concerts and go do drugs in fields, or in the woods, or at each others houses, or whatever. In fact if you're near New Mexico, check out Gem and Jam, it is the hippiest of hippy jam festivals centered around the Gem show in Tucson.
