Concerning Thessaloniki, Chalkidiki is a category of its own when it comes to beaches

Κουνούπι είναι νιηστικό κι η σχέση αυτή δεν πάει!

You can take the KTEL bus from Volos to Trikala (3 departures daily) and then from Trikala to Kalampaka (bus departures every hour approximately)

Η κλασσική από ότι βλέπω ναι, η άλλη με 30% λιγότερη ζάχαρη που κοίταξα δεν έχει φοινικοπυρηνέλαιο.

Nucrema>Merenda>Nutella. Εν τω μεταξύ όχι ότι οι υπόλοιπες είναι υγιεινές, αλλά η νουτέλα έχει και φοινικέλαιο που είναι από τα όχι και πιο υγιεινά συστατικά .

Would like to be within a town or in the outskirts outside the towns/villages of the island, or choose a not so crowded bar/restaurant with sunset view? Because you want the best sunset view, you have to pick a spot in the western site of Paros.

I don't know if they are good enough as proposal spots but within Paroikia if you would like to see the sunset, e.g., you could go to some spots at the upper parts/hills of the town like this or this or this

Of course, it's visible right across of the waterfront road of Thessaloniki, but from a large distance.

Litochoro is the gateway to the northern part of Mount Olympus.

Additionally, in the nearby area, you may go for a stroll at the seafront road and the castle of Platamonas town.

Visit Palaios Panteleimonas village, above Platamonas, on the mountain slopes of Olympus, with a nice view and traditional architecture.

The archeological site of Dion is an additional place to visit, and if the weather helps a bit in the next days, the beaches of the nearby coastline could also be an option.

Near Thessaloniki, you can go to any beach in Pieria region close to Mount Olympus. About half an hour drive from the highway you'll take from Thessaloniki to Corfu, south of the city of Katerini, you'll be very close to the foot of Mt. Olympus.

Παρόλα αυτά δεν βγήκε κανένα τρολοτράγουδο πρώτο όταν ψήφιζε μόνο το κοινό από το 1998 εως και το 2008.

Because it's Greece and the unemployment rate is steadily one of the highest in Europe. You stop lowering your standards when there are better alternatives available, something that isn't the case in Greece.

But even with this unemployment, the summer season tourism sector has difficulties finding employees, just because all this mistreatment backfired and they have a really bad reputation as employers in Greece.

What you describe is definitely non-existent in Greece for the summer season jobs in the tourism sector. Those types of jobs in tourism are notorious in Greece for the bad conditions they offer.

Is it decent to work 12 hours a day for 6 months without a single day off and the free housing being many times a container house or a basement with many others? And usually, all this for way less than the 1200 € you mentioned, which is not a good salary by any means, having in mind the exploitation of tourism employees, which is the standard in Greece.

If you don't rent a car, which is the most convenient way, because Kalampaka is 3h drive from Athens through a highway, then the bus is the only option.

There are bus itineraries all day from Athens to Trikala (it takes 4 hours) and then you take from there the next bus to Kalampaka (departures every hour or so and takes half an hour from Trikala to Kalampaka).

There is also an option from Athens to Kalampaka by bus directly

Meteora is an easy 5h bus ride from Athens through a highway. And way less and easier if you rent a car. If this can be considered a lengthy journey like a pilgrimage and difficult to get to, then what would we say about e.g. taking the ferry from Athens to the islands of Cyclades or even further?

The closer you can get to this in Greece is Vai palm forest and beach and Preveli ,both of them in Crete

Yeah, Turks doing this to Greeks uninterruptedly for more than 400 years is indeed brutal

Fighting the invader/occupier/colonizer to get liberated is considered brutal?

There are also some Byzantine bridges in Greece with this type of architecture as well.

Also you can drive to all 6 monasteries of Meteora and park just outside of them. The one with no steps is Saint Stephen. Your best option to stay near Meteora is Kalampaka town or Kastraki village.

The road from Grevena to Kalampaka is as winding as it gets, so the best option is through Larissa, its all a highway.

You can stop in Trikala city near Meteora too, it has a nice city center with a river, an old town, a fortress and other landmarks combined with many cafes and taverns/restaurants. Larissa could also be a brief stop, many cafés, restaurants, etc, and some ancient greek ruins in the old part/Fortress Hill, etc.

It's a later form of the name Ydrama this city had. The name itself derives from the word ύδωρ/Ydor (ancient greek word for water), because this city has many fountainheads, wellsprings, streams /rivers etc
