There is an ABC podcast that talks about people wearing clothes only 7 times! Fast fashion wasn't really a thing when I was younger but I worked in retail and definitely participated in overconsumption but not like shein hauls of 200 items. I wear my clothes to death. I have a bunch of kmart ribbed tees that I wear almost every day to work. lol.

They sure are a thing. These are the "real" version. I actually don't mind some of the perforated ones but I wear mary janes a lot so that is probably why. I think the silver ones are a cute option with jeans.

Completely agree. My work bags are sturdy and that is reflected in the price. I have a number of cross bodies and the leather wears beautifully and the hardware holds up. My furla hardware looks a lot worse for wear tbh. I do miss the old marc by marc jacobs leather bags though.

In a non work setting I make a joke about how I always need to come with evidence. I also preface stuff by saying "I'm not trying to be a dick but trying to understand". I am learning more and more to pick my battles and realise that I am not going to get what I am looking for (a resolution, confirmation etc). I also enjoy a passionate debate whereas a lot of people don't. I try and use "I" statements rather than state things as fact (which is hard if they are facts lol).
If this is a professional issue then there should be no issue to ask for things to be put in writing and clarification.
I should add I have worked in a law firm for 15 years lol.

In my experience it is. The amount of wild tradies tailgaiting through Charlestown and onto City Road at 5:30-6am is crazy. I am usually going 5 over the speed limit in the left lane.
I just checked on my most recent zimm purchases and they have the same final sentence on the care tag. It’s so hard because so many replicas are flooding the market. It makes it hard to sell genuine zimm items too because everyone assumes they are fake:(

I agree. People may use the fabric for something. My mum donated a huge tub of fabric scraps to a charity teaching refugees to sew. I sometimes sell/donate bundles of stuff (eg kmart skirts, zara blouses) that aren't worth selling individually.

There are still huge issues in supply-chain transparency particularly in Bangladesh. The factory Kmart contracts with is highly unlikely to be the one making the clothing. The inspections are of the factory they contract with. They sub contract to cheaper, dodgier places. I am glad Kmart are acknowledging and making some effort.
