This generation is so bizarre - what's the flex?! Or is her thing dancing in front of...things?!?!

Cheapest way is making it yourself. I source the bones from my local butcher. The slow-cooker is the expensive part of it, but pays for itself after the first batch (from what I've seen of the prices people charge) - I've got a 5litre cooker, thinking of upgrading to an 8litre one though as the current 3litre yield doesn't last long

We've got a good spot in Leeds, Lupe's, run by a Mexican chef and his wife...conveniently, 5mins walk from my place! Whole bunch of Mexican soft-drinks, beers & spirits, great range of hot sauces, incredible decor - big recommend if you should find yourself in Leeds

I know they pride themselves on "unauthentic", but I genuinely LOVE La Pantera, and always try & stop by when I'm in Cardiff. Possibly not what you're lookingfor, but had to give 'em a shout!

I understand your perspective. All the best with the new arrival

He said in a recent interview about needing to Not add anymore gigs between now & then, so yeah, gotta assume this was a planned thing...fella knows what he's doing!

An interesting observation I found when using a CGM was that following two consecutive nights of less-than-usual amounts of sleep I had slightly elevated BG through the morning

I was part of a study that suggested those with chronically poor sleep could be aiding the onset of insulin resistance for this

From chatting with this Ginger Beer fella, it seems an incredibly niche market! On the n/a front, they're apparently working towards a collab brew with n/a superstars Mash Gang for later in the year (I believe most of MGs stuff is vegan also)

As an aside, spoke with an alcoholic ginger beer brewery last night, and all their products are vegan-by-default. I was on the fence about ginger beer, but turns out I'd just been trying the wrong ones...DMC Brewery, for the curious

It's a fantastic Sanity Check for how quick & easy it is, but over the years I've found it's not entirely Gospel. There have been enough issues I've replicated at device level and not seen in Chrome's responsive mode that I wouldn't say it's acceptable on its own

From the phrasing, I'd say this is gonna happen...I'm hopefully interviewing him in a few weeks, will see if I can press for details! Would 100% be more interested in a Kneejerk reunion, but that seems incredibly less likely

Hope it goes well! I used to work for a brewery, and the takeovers always seemed like fun nights

Ask if you can get some of their beers as prizes and give these away in brewery-centric Bonus Rounds - "Name all beers in XXX's core range", "Name the main hops in XXX's XXX beer", "How old will XXX be next January". Ask if they can bring a bunch of empty branded tinnies and do a "Tallest Free-standing Tinnie Tower" activity round, and if they've got LOADS of empty tinnies, Tinnie Stomp - how many tinnies can each team stomp flat in 10 seconds

Also worth considering that soybean's primary agricultural purpose is soybean oil - veggie products use the leftover husks, unless it gets used for animal feed

Arc Inspirations, Futuresound Group, Hedonist Group, Akito group, there's so many. Then there are independent spots like Mojo who developed their Leeds success into a chain - Northern Monk and Donner Summer are another two such examples from the Beer & Food worlds

Love the idea! I've got friends who own businesses around the city, and I'll always try and support them in whatever way I can, but I'm not aware of such a resource

It came up in a conversation last night that Nico By Six is a chain restaurant with 10 other UK locations. Can't say I'd ever thought on it, but before being told that I may have assumed it was a local independent

One of the more interesting, lesser-known types of inclusions could be businesses like Escapism Bar Group - local, independent business that owns and runs Maven, Verve, Mean Eyed and some others. There are a few of those in Leeds. Also on the booze side of things, businesses who own and run multiple brands, like Wolfe Bros who mostly do gins, but have got a fantastic Coffee Liqueur and a zero-waste limoncello. There are also some fun connections between places - one of the owners of legendary House Music spot, Distrikt, also owns the House of Koko cafes (Chapel Allerton and Oakwood), the owner of Santiago Bar co-owns Grindhouse Bar, and Watermark Bar has a side-business selling...bespoke ice, a concept I never knew I could love so much!

Yeah, Vitamin C is involved in Soooo many essential functions in the body, but collagen production will sit very low on the physiological priorities list, so my assumption has been I'd need to ensure a consistent abundance of it in the body to help with the skin aspect

The GI thing seems to relate to taking higher amounts at the same time, but if you feel you might be sensitive, either shop around for a 250mg Vit C, or keep it to just 500mg morning/evening for the first few weeks as a precautionary on-road to it

Similar with hyaluronic acid - folk often assume it's just an external approach, but supplementing will also get you skincare benefits

Aw, what an absolute beaut!! Fingers crossed for her safe return

Curveball option - supplement it for skin benefits, with Vit C being essential for the production of collagen

As a very low risk and very low cost intervention, it feels the most obvious of approaches - I use this Boots product as it's been at 3-for-2 for the past year, so works out a penny per pill (£7.20 per 720 pills). Aim for ~3g a day and you'll see skin improvements within a fortnight

Vit C can cause GI issues if you're needlessly Gung Ho about it, but spreading it across the day largely removes this potential
