Richard Thompson. Discovered his music and listened intensely to his catalog over a period of a couple of months many years ago. Living in the Midwest at the time, I couldn’t believe it when I saw a few weeks after that he scheduled a show at a small theater in my town. I thought hm that’s a pretty common name, maybe it’s a different Richard Thompson? Nope, it was the real deal and he was incredible, an all-time favorite guitarist for me.
