I’ve always strongly expressed myself through my hair. I’m 37 now and my forehead finally got big enough to give up on trying to make my hair look good. I’ve thought about shaving it for a while.
Last week, I finally did it. At first, I felt intense shame and grief for the loss. As I get used to it though, I am finding that I love it. I think it looks good and it sure as hell feels good!
However, I find that most people seem offended at my choice. I get responses like, “Oh no!” or “Why would you do that?!” and “My wife says she’ll kill me if I do something like that.”
Why do y’all think people get so offended? What’s the big deal? At this point, I’ve done what I’ve done and I don’t really care what people think about it (At least that’s what I tell myself).
Shantaram Sun House The Stormlight Archive books
I love seeing Shantaram so many times on this list. I read the text version first and loved it so much that I got the audiobook too. And wow! The characters come to life in so many new ways.
And Sun House. The audiobook was so incredible that I went and bought the text version so I could underline and make notes. Beautiful writing.
