Robotboy is my favorite followed by Jenny, Bubbles and Arnold.

You're crazy and your "opinion" on Robotboy is pure cringe.

Robotboy is a very likable character that doesn't deserve any hate at all.

This ain't the only scam involving them faking food, lol.

The "Taco" and "Ed's Summer BBQ" scams, anyone?

Still a horrible person with a pitiful ending and no redeeming qualities. Also his motivation was weak.

Not to sound rude or anything lol, but why on Earth would anyone ever like someone like Housen?

Yes, by at least lending us nuclear weapons.

Armenians should just continue ignoring their pathetic attitude. They are totally unworthy of anything.

I remember seeing this screenshot as well as him appearing shortly in the end at the cafeteria with Abuto, but that's just it. Nothing more has been shown of them. So underrated.

  1. These episodes were indeed very emotional, I'm so glad they were handled greatly. And, you are absolutely right about the last arcs, it's so not fair how Kamui and Umibozu barely played their roles in fighting against Utsuro, Kamui ironically was somehow nerfed against him, I mean, he could've struck a much more massive blow to him, but instead got beaten up over and over, at least Kagura managed to kick Utsuro and Umibozu had managed to counter him as well, even Shinpachi had a badass moment kicking his butt.
  2. If only they showed us what happened with Kamui and Kagura during the timeskip and how he managed to teach her that new age-altering technique. Even in the Finals, what we've seen in the mange hasn't been shown at all (Kamui joining everybody in the Final war against enemies while in his chibi kid form).
  3. While I believe he is mostly liked, but not enough for him to be considered a "fan favorite", like Takasugi, Kagura, Hijikata, Okita, Gintoki, Tsukuyo and Madao. But I still believe he deserves better by both fans and creators: even if his redemption arc was short, it was still amazing and I'd always believed he was redeemable from the get-go. This was already hinted in the Yoshiwara arc by Umibozu as well as Kamui having helped out an innocent kid find and rescue his adoptive mother. His backstory has already sealed the deal, showing how realistic and relatable Kamui could realy be. He was never 100% evil.
  4. He's mainly popular in Japan, still don't see how he should be considered "overrated" though. In Japan he is fairly rated but outside of Japan, it's the other way around (see points mentioned above). By the logic of "being popular", then let's call the most popular characters of Gintama "overrated", that surely will piss the whole fanbase off lol.

I cannot see how Kamui is "overrated", if anything, he's rather underrated in my eyes.

  • I barely ever see people talk about him and/or Rakuyou arc/redemption in general. Because everyone is always too focused on discussing/praising the hell out of Takasugi, Gintoki, Kagura, Gintoki vs Takasugi, Joui, Madao etc.
  • I still feel sour about the fact that Kamui almost never got to shine in the Gintama Final, nor did he get at least moments with his and Kagura's sibling chemistry in the time-skip arc revealed.
  • He somehow has a hatedom.

In order: 1) Kamui. 2) Okita. 3) Hijikata. 4) Gintoki. 5) Katsura. 6) ShigeShige. 7) Kagura. 8) Shinpachi. 9) Tama. 10) Zenzou/Sakamoto.

Charlotte is so universally overhated and misunderstood that I feel sorry for her character's actress.

I don't consider her a villain at all, rather an antihero.

There is no any mainstream hate to Armenians at all.

Are you sure you live in the same reality?

And then Eddy gets surprised why the kids dislike him.

Kamui, but he's not my second favorite, he's first. Gintoki is in my top 5.

11 or 14 no doubt. That would be fun.
