MS is highly variable. Some people have a benign course with little symptoms. Some are fucked right off the bat. With the new medications, disease progression is slowing for many people changing the course of what to expect. Your just fine friend could be paralyzed tomorrow. It’s like living with a loaded gun in your head and you never know when it’s going to go off and to what extent. I’ve had it for 14 years now.
It’s not typically fatal in and of itself, but on average people with MS have a 7 year reduction of lifespan. So if typical lifespan is 77 years then for people with MS, it’s 70.

Not everyone, but the people that get into it are showing up to discuss. There’s a lot more people that don’t give a rats ass lol. For me, it concerns me mostly because I felt like this relationship was a huge positive for him after losing two of his best friends in tragic ways. Seeing this play out makes me worry for him on a personal level.
