I would not rely on fitbit's caloric burn calculation anyways. Calculate your TDEE with an online calc and set a hard calorie total for the day if your goal is weight loss.

I tracked 40 days of calories 100% accurate vs my Charge 5's burn rate and then ran the numbers on what I should have lost vs what I loss weight wise. The Charge 5 over calculated burn by atleast 15%. Lost 11.8lbs compared to 13.8lb'ish burn calculated by fitbit.

No wearable is close enough to rely on imo, the only thing close is a Power Meter on a bicycle.

Alcohol is as people have guessed is horrible for you. It's probably the #1 tanker of HRV in my experience after quitting it completely. HRV doubled and sleeping heart rate/RHR went down significantly to normal levels.

Yeah I think Di2 or the newer stuff prevents it from going to the cross chaining especially if you run syncho or semi synchro, don't think that would be an issue and I would not run it at those extremes (50-34 in the front).

I guess it's just a matter if I think the 6% is worth it over the current 11-34 as a bailout gear.

The regular Camelbak "insualted" ones don't do much but their steel dual wall ones will definitely keep your water cool for the entire ride. Downside is they're about 350g in weight compared to a 50g Elite Bidon if weight is a concern. But in horrid heat ice cold water the entire ride can be a game changer.

They also offer a Titanium one but its super expensive for maybe 50g of weight shaved off the steel ones.

Meldonium, ITPP, DADA are all more obscure ones that I could see people getting away with unless the testing was extensive. Most people have never even heard of the last two.

Surprised more people don't utilize ITPP tbh, not as magical as EPO but definitely helps for endurance based sports and without the dangers of turning your blood to jam.

I'm a huge Jonas fan and today was a very very good sign of his fitness. But this was stage 2 of a 3 week race, I have serious concerns that Jonas can maintain and be his best into week 3 like he usually is with those types of injuries.

I think the big question now is not Jonas' fitness but how well it holds up into a 3 week race with the lost time he had. It would be a win for the ages.

I think Pog definitely didn't want yellow today and UAE on paper vs what we saw so far is lackluster for such a stacked team. Majority of that race Pog was alone again.

Then you have Jonas looking cool as a cucumber through out the entire stage without signs of fatigue. The only cherry on top of this stage for Visma would have been Wout taking the stage, but I don't think they could have asked for a much better start tbh. Wout takes P3 denying Pog any bonus, Jonas finishes arguably one of the hardest first stages in a relaxed manner where people expected UAE to attack him and try to break him down/have Pog take time on him early.

It's insane how much just walking and actually tracking your food can change your quality of life, keep it up. A night of hard drinking was horrid I think my wakeup call was a warning on my fitbit about an idle heart rate while sleeping after partying for a brief time of 120bpm.
