PS be careful what you wish for on complaining (lol) about a quiet husky. Once they start talking and find their voice they tend to not shut up.

They will talk back to you as well as talk to tell you they need something or want something.

Instead of the Mandorlian saying, It is the way.

It is the husky way.

In all seriousness everything sounds normal.

On my 4th husky rescue in my life. They have and do range in affection levels, from almost total aloofness to cuddle bugs. These levels can and do change on their whim's.

Small places can be just fine, it really depends on you and particular husky

They all tend to be independent.

Do not confuse stubborness with their independence and smartness. Most huskies will choose to do what you ask or not, or just on their terms.

They DO EVER FORGET, SO NEGATIVE PUNISHMENT NEVER ENDS WELLS WITH THEM.

Typically they can be free fed as they only eat what they need. Also note they may appear to be on a hunger strike for a day or two, but don't worry, it is normal for them to do this.

NO FURMINATOR, they badly damage their coats and cuts important fur.

Do brush with the appropriate grooming tools several times a week. And daily or twice during the 2 blowing coat seasons a year.

Mine have hardly needed more than 2 baths a year. They tend to be very fastidious in cleaning themselves.

I currently have 2, a 6 or 9 yo and a 15 month old plus a 9 yo Lab retriever, all rescues.

All of their personalities slowly changed over the first 3 months. Only have had the 15 month old for only 2 months, and has had a huge personality change as he has gotten more comfortable and confident.

Embrace the husky glitter.

In your home husky glitter is a condiment. It will go everywhere no matter what.

Enjoy the ride. Once you have been owned by huskies your life will never be the same.

Show us your new puppy.

Here is a puppy tax pic of ours, not the best but about a month ago as it is hard to get them all sitting up together.

Several bags of our 3 dogs dog food since it is tax free. 1 9 yo Labrador Retriever, 1 9yo Siberian Husky, and most recently 1 15 month old Siberian Husky mix. We go through a lot of kibble so saving the tax for a few bags adds up.

Maybe this year I might get some sand bags even though we did not need them during hurricane Michael a block off the beach in Panama City Beach.

Double check all our important papers, vet papers, credit cards are in new ziplock bags and ready to go.

Get cash on hand prior to imminent significant landfall. Also top off vehicle has tanks at this time.

Verify my mini solar power set up is in good working condition. And make sure portable radio is the same.

We always have pretty much everything we would need on hand stocked up all year round. Lots of rechargeable batteries, bottle water, external phone chargers, and so on.

So nothing actually needed.

Let me Google that for you....

Supposed billionaire.

All I can say is you do you and decide what ever you feel is the best interest.

Thanks, I was only relating my history that even when my future was in jeopardy, the darkest, and just all glum, I still did not know what laid ahead.

Yes I had made arrangements but kept him with me. It is a tough situation to be in.

Once I found the right situation for him, they would come over and visit him often. Walk him, take him to the parks. I found people who lived close to me. They never wanted me to give up and keep fighting, and it was bittersweet for them, but they in the end with me slowly recovering we all did the right thing. They were ready to step up for him but very relieved I started recovering and could keep my dear buddy.

Hopefully you might find something like that.

Cancer sucks, it really does suck. My cancer never goes away nor goes into true remission, so I still live with it.

I now have 3 rescues, our 9 yo Labrador Retriever, our 6 or 9 yo Siberian Husky, and our newest Siberian Husky Mix 15 months. Even with the Spectre of my cancer.

So please please don't give up, keep fighting everyday. And please try not to make a fast decision.

Wishing you a speedy recovery with your pal.

A total selfless act of courage on your part.

I am not sure what to tell you. I went through a similar situation with my first Siberian Husky almost 2 decades ago. Cancer diagnosis on me. Given a max of 2 years if I was lucky.

Well here I am still, alas my poor Bandit was already middle age. He always had the best life even to end. Passed in my arms at home.

I currently have 2 more rescue huskies.

Sending you warm thoughts. Stay strong and do what is best for you and your puppy. Spend every moment doing things that make you happy. It is okay to just have lazy days together no matter what. Your pup will probably just want to be near you and not need much at times other than your undying love and affection. You pup may seem sad at times just being near you, looking at you, and resting on you. He is just showing affection and devotion to you. Cherish it.

My Bandit did all this and help me keep the will to fight and live.

Stay strong.

And...

BUT BUT HUNTER'S DICK

We just an ran out to buy some champagne 🍾

We just did. On our way back home here in the Florida panhandle.

So sorry for your loss.

All I can say.

No I was actually meaning those wild toughs of fur just make those pictures even that more adorable. Gives him an even more wildish wolfish look and showing his gentler interaction with kittens is just priceless.

I was not meaning bad or untoward towards you.

Trust me I know through all the many years of being owned by huskies, fur is a neverending job.

Well yeah I know, have 2 Siberian Huskies, as well as had them previously. I am well aware of that.

Thought the puppy tax picture I posted would have shown that with the huskies in it.

I would say brush the wolfdog but the toughs of fur, his apparent gentleness and the kittens is just f'ing adorable.

Full disclosure: I am not a cat person at all.

Puppy tax no wolf dogs here. Our 3 rescues, the one under the husky just joined our family 2 months ago on death row in California with just hours left to live. Got him pulled and transported to our place in Florida
