I started a pregnancy journal on my phones notepad app. That way I can add things to it when I’m sitting up in bed at 3am, putting in the work on the toilet, waiting at doctors visits, etc.

I’ll describe how I’m feeling, how my body is changing, what foods/time of day makes baby kick, doctors appointments, random advice I’ve heard/read, food aversions, sweet things my husband has done/said, registry gift ideas, baby shower invite list, name ideas, summarize dates/events with friends/family, plus photos of me doing things/going to events during pregnancy, growing bump mirror pics, and ultrasounds.

The plan is to eventually turn this digital notepad into a physical scrapbook/journal that I can share with my kiddo if they’re interested. (Or possibly use as birth control when I start thinking about having another baby).

I have a designated sweeping brush just for scrubbing the shower/tub cuz of my bad back. Sometimes it helps to think dumb or out of the box!

I also love watching the grime disappear when I’m using the brushes on my drill!

I’m glad it works for you!! I just can’t get over the anxiety attack I have every time I hear it go doDOdoDO grrrrrrrrzzzzzzjrkfnfnforkejbbbbtg. Whether it’s on a schedule or a cat hits the power button, it makes the cats scatter and makes me jump up to quickly check the floors for toys, socks, cat vomit, etc. Gives me a heart attack and a headache! 2 in 1! First world problems I guess.

We have an oldschool Roomba and it’s so loud and stupid. It makes me anxious when it turns on cuz I know I have to quickly find all the random cat toys and doublecheck for random cat vomits. Plus the noise it makes is so loud, I’d rather get up and do it myself. Scares the crap out of the cats & us when its on a schedule.

Thank you, I appreciate it. Saturday marks 10 years since he has passed. Sometimes I still think I see him in public, and his mom often posts “in memoriam” photos of him & I together on facebook, so it’s always freaky to see him on my feed.

He was abusive mentally & physically, so took years to unlearn and believe that I deserve so much better. I’m also on the spectrum, so it was especially challenging not to settle with a man simply because he accepted me & my quirks, and didn’t hurt me. I’d like to think I’m smarter and stronger from that experience and I found someone who supports, loves, & accepts me for me. And it sounds like you have too!

I’m proud of you for leaving him and standing strong in the end. I had an ex who was similar to this and even after I moved across the country and changed my number, he still found me. The stalking didn’t end until 3 years later when he overdosed. He was schizophrenic with BPD and would constantly use my diagnosises against me to make me feel less than.

While I don’t agree with giving him any more attention (and I think him seeing this post might rekindle the flame to harass you), I commend your ability to come forward. I hope this was cathartic for you and I hope you continue to take care of yourself first and never go to concerts or places alone where he might be.

No worries, it was mostly focused on Daniel’s story anyway. From what I remember, unfortunately he is still not sober & his gf is like 60lbs, but his brother got his act together and is happy with a woman, child, and job!

It’s amazing how our minds remember little details, like the skinny girlfriend and mom’s sweatshirt. There was so much trash in their house, I’m sure there couldve been another child underneath it somewhere.
