Have you read The Mortal Instruments as well? If so, how does it compare to The Last Hours?

We were flying from Sofia, Bulgaria, in early November. The snow was so intense they had a hard time defrosting the airplanes. We took flight nearly 4 hours after scheduled departure, and Memmingen refused to stay open to wait for our flight.

I’ve surely never seen Aelin and Thranduil side by side, I wonder why that is 🧐

Roaming gratuito no espaço europeu, my beloved

Relativamente a prazos, habitação, emprego… São tópicos muito importantes, muitos deles podem ser deal breakers e precisam de ser discutidos antes de realmente se mudarem juntos

Gorgeous imagery! Switzerland looks like a fairytale. What other places are on your bucketlist?

I’ve been trying to adopt that mindset, but I feel like it’s much easier when I’m solo traveling 😅 Maybe because I feel responsible for everyone else’s safety and experience

Anxiety, especially when accompanied by other people in a trip which I organised – always scared that something might go wrong.

Are you doing a mobility for studies? If so, I believe you manage the grant as you see fit throughout your mobility in most cases

I couldn’t help but think “damn, that water pressure must hurt a bit” when I saw them on the screen 🥲

De instituições conheço a Little Princess Trust (do Reino Unido), mas têm regras específicas a nível de comprimento e etc que podes consultar no website deles

Completely goes against the point of ao3. I think it’s even against their terms of service

Check out their page for incoming mobility students. You should find that information under “academic calendar”

Hi there. Something similar happened to me in my Erasmus. My home course was International Affairs, but my host university classified the mobility as “Romance Languages”. It was perfecty fine, as they allowed me to do curricular units in every single institute in the university, as long as there were vacancies and my home uni approved the study plan.

The amount of freedom you have when choosing varies depending on every uni, since some have bilateral agreements only with certain faculties within the partner university. Contact your home and host unis and ask if this might pose a problem in your recognition process

And I’ll add Facebook groups as well – lately they’ve had more offers there than the actual websites. Beware of scammers on all platforms, though!

When we were in Frankfurt, we walked a lot: from Hbf to the Bankenviertel, from there to the Römerberg, the Cathedral, and Goethe Haus. They were all very interesting visits, and we walked around just fine, even in the rain (it was close enough). Museum-wise, I’d probably say Städel Museum is the most important – but Frankfurt has a lot of offer on museums, so check out online which has the pieces that might interest you the most :)

When the lockers are unacessible for some reason, I use the Radical Storage app. It allows you to leave your luggage in local businesses and they look after it for the fixed value of 5€ / bag / day.

Saving this to hear everyone else’s suggestions later!

Here are mine: (not necessarily about LDR, but remind me of it, so it might be what you’re looking for)

• all i need (the distance song) by Avery Lynch • Hey There Delilah by Plain White T’s • Unknown / Nth by Hozier • Come Back… Be Here by Taylor Swift • Here With Me by d4vd • Half a Heart by One Direction • Anchor by Novo Amor

Some beauties in my native language:

• Anda Comigo Ver os Aviões by Os Azeitonas • Só Existo Contigo by Diogo Piçarra • Ainda Estamos Aqui by Miguel Araújo • Carta (Acoustic) by Tiago Bettencourt

Honestly, depends a lot. I only had two days to practice, since I needed the exam for a Master’s application with some urgency, and it went well. But I’d already used English in academic and professional settings.

Even if you don’t study a lot, I would say it is definitely important to practice with some model exams to learn the specificities of this particular test, namely the types of questions, readings, and writing guidelines you might find. Basically, don’t go blind into it. Knowing what I was getting into helped me a lot in getting the scores I needed.

Such lovely pictures. The Rocky Mountains will be extra beautiful forever now. Congratulations, I’m so happy for you! 🥹
