This isn't a scenario that you need to "likely". The city actually has decades worth of this data.
Since when are laundromats closed?
This is "it's not fair" baby games. I haven't been to stampede in 20 years but I'm glad it's going ahead. It is a great economic benefit to so many industries in the city. It's Christmas for our hospitality industry. I'm willing to keep curtailing my water usage to make it happen.
Use one of those long painting poles and bust up the nest. Things might get a little dark if there are chicks in it.
"We can only judge about what OP tells us" and in her post she never said anything about it's severity. I had to search her other comments to just see it wasn't kidney stones. So gall stones? Not sure. Sounds like they got it figured out and it's a pain in the butt. Ok. I would never leave a message on one of my friends phones about how they aren't being a good friend or how I had some random expectation they didn't measure up to. I hope she is done using this friend as well.
Obviously the OPs post is going to have only the content that favors her side. We don't even know the scale of the issue. I have been in the ER and didn't bother telling anyone because it was minor and just needed timely treatment. No one needed to come to my rescue or even need to know. So being in the ER isn't necessarily a "health scare". If it was actually major I think she would have included more details. Sounds like she isn't enjoying the attention vacuum in her life right now
The city has the data for this. They can find out the historical water impact of the stampede. They might even be able to find a way to mitigate some of the effects. Cancelling the stampede without fully exploring what you can to make it happen would be foolish.
I noticed that as well. If I could hit up a Laundromat in those neighborhoods guilt free that would be awesome.
Two updates to day with no actual update. Just the mayor saying to turn off your water when you brush your teeth. To be fair, the fire chief update was great. What I would like is an actual update on the progress of the repair and there hasn't been much of that.
I think this is a great idea. I see lots of other comments telling the OP to do some passive aggressive crap and make the ledge non-functional but that is a jerk move. If it is like I imagine, it is probably the only convenient place to put things inside the back entry. Your idea is great because it actually adds functionality while also increasing safety. It still fills the need that she apparently has for somewhere to put things. Also, he is an AH for asking the question. He didn't actually need or want a real answer.
Had kind of the opposite happen when I was a kid. We had barn cats. There was a warm place for them and, usually, untouched bowls of dry cat food. Pretty sure they just used it as bait for mice. One of them had a litter of kittens and when they were a bit older took them out hunting and a well meaning neighbor scooped them all up and took them to the SPCA. They likely got put down. They weren't house cats.
NTA. Nice of your dad do use you for his financial shenanigans. Bet that check is drawn on a business account. Maybe don't spend it.
Are you trying to stack and charge in the your car? I was doing that with these Gen3 scooters. I have a large SUV so I was stacking them flat with 3 on the bottom, then two, then 3, etc. I was only looking to fit a dozen scooters. Stacking them like this let me still access the charging port on each scooter. Leave enough space between each scooter so that the next row of the stack has enough space to rest between the two scooters below it.
It's the gen3 scooters that have issues charging at low temps
Or just pick a place with lots of hubs, deploy the scooters in a good location, "deploy" to whatever stupid hub the app thinks you are closest to.
Enjoy the fun winter charging with those things. Don't charge till they warm up
Tonight was much better. They all started charging right away
If you leave them plugged in they will likely start charging after a while. I had most of mine not charge right away last night as well. That is definitely in the range of the 'not going to charge'. I would expect it to start charging in your garage. Just leave it plugged in. These winter charging challenges seem to be only for the Gen3 scooters which is what we have in Canada. So if you get comments elsewhere like 'I charged all winter in Colorado and never had a problem' it is an apples and oranges thing.
Also, you can leave the charger plugged in and it will start charging as soon as it warms up enough
They were cold. The scooters have to warm up before they will charge.
If I'm going to drop off downtown I go to a dense hub area. I drop off at a hub located on the map but in the app if my pin shows at a different hub I just drop to that hub. I can't spend 5 minutes walking around.
Any idea if the scooters are even going to return to the streets this week/year. Still looks pretty barren and there aren't a bunch of move tasks from the warehouse. Looked like you had a false start on Monday.
If you pick up again tonight can try propping up the drive wheel, spin it and then give it throttle for a few minutes? I'm wondering if that would heat up the battery pack enough to take a charge.
I'm a bit of a curmudgeon and kind of hate the all the photograpy posts in this group but this was pretty awesome.
Sunset today was so cool
