So, I’ve saved up a bit and want to get a laptop that I can install Linux on (primarily for programming and just learning and understanding Linux and computers in general). I was looking at thinkpads but have seen that some of them don’t always work well or there are problems.
My question is: Is there a preferred cpu, gpu or anything else I should be aware of when looking at laptops?
Also why do I see people saying AMD is the best and only way to go?
If anyone has any recommendations as well, that would be welcome. I’ll mention I’m from the UK as well, in case that is relevant at all.
