Lay out finances. Figure out what everyone would be willing to give up for a job cut. If everyone agrees, do it. If not, don't.

If there's no cost assessment executive won't care. If there's no risk team executive won't care. You need higher level buy in for changes to be made. But, this is a decent learning opportunity. Learn more about risk and it can be a good career advancement.

The compromise would come from an attacker gaining access to the trusted print server. And no, no easy fix where things worked like they did prior. We use a cloud print deployment solution.
Explain this to them. Send them this. They're adults and need to understand where you're coming from. I've had to have some frank conversations with my in laws because they weren't getting it.
Your workaround isn't a fix. It's a mitigation and the risk would need to be agreed upon. A threat actor on your print server would theoretically be able to gain access to all computers that install printers from it.
We can be like minded as dads and the opposite on many other aspects. I think generally this group has a similar mindset but you can't expect that for all situations.
Kids thrive on routine. While flexibility within the routine is good, having a consistent routine will help them understand the when and why and how of various aspects of their life.

You'll also want to take in to account the city you move to. Things can be much different based on that area of a state, and within that area the exact location.
We're currently looking to move within our city for the same reasons. A little lower crime, a little better neighborhood, a little better schools, etc...

If your wife can't drive it makes sense. I have one beer a night during my "relaxation" time while we watch a show or I video game, but rarely more than one. Only if we're at a friend's house and my wife is driving.

You should honestly go and get checked. It's easy and the professionals are great to talk to. And they may be able to assist. Diagnosed add/tism recently at 43 and I've been able to significantly change my life.
