Decathlon Arpenaz 4.1 vs HiGear Horizon Nightfall 400 AirAwaiting Flair

These two aren’t totally comparable and I get that, we currently own the horizon. We got it at a snip a couple of years ago and we’re very impressed with the tent. More recently however we have been going on more frequent and sometimes shorter trips (2-3 nights) and it just seems so big, so heavy to lug around (although the wheeled bag is great) and so cumbersome to put up and pack away.

There’s only me my wife and our 5yo and we are considering downsizing to the Quechua, I don’t have any previous experience with the brand but ppl seem generally positive about these tents. It is smaller (mainly due to it being poled instead of air) and much lighter but keeps the benefit of the nightfall bedroom. The only thing we think we might miss is the use of the porch in poor weather however we can’t have our cake and eat it. Does anyone have any insight into whether this would be a comparable tent? Big downgrade? Or any other obvious tents we should consider?

Also thinking we could in theory add the Quechua XL tarp at the front in future to make up for the lack of porch.

How tf were can openers so much more effective so long ago

Why does he look like he’s been caught doing something he shouldn’t

Was the same for me until my truck window was smashed and clubs got nicked >:(

Just as a follow up to the original post, I searched for camp loner via the directions described by you good folk and could find a flag or anything so just asked some guy where it was, he also said he didn’t have a clue either, he was there alone and it was his first festival so I joined him and another young couple he had pitched next to and we made an excellent 4some for the weekend, it was a brilliant experience and we will most likely meet back up for next year!

Dan Simmons - Hyperion, I was hooked from the first chapter, I don’t know what it was about the book but I find myself absent mindedly thinking about it more than any other book I’ve read

Unfortunately I don’t really have any other social media :/

Thanks in advance (:

Camp loner…

Is it back left corner of Valhalla is that right? I had about 6 “mates” supposedly guaranteed to be coming with me to this, the first year my shifts have ever allowed me to go to the one festival I’ve always wanted to go to, and one by one they’ve dropped liked flys until I’m the only one left lol. Just wanted to clarify, is the back left of valhalla the place to be for billy no mates (subtle KL reference) like me? and also a mildly desperate plea for friends.

Started working in a rougher area recently and kept my clubs in my boot while I was at work so I could go straight to the range after work as I’ve done many times over the years. Had the back of the car broken into and the clubs nicked, lesson learned I guess. Won’t be that naive again.

Well done mate, that’s the biggest hurdle you’ve leapt there keeping the cricket scores off your card. Bogey golf is the way!

Just wanted to jump on to say thanks everyone for all the replies you’ve given me a lot to look into and think about, a great community you’ve got on here looking forward to joining it

I got a voodoo bizango, aside from the lack of drop seat it seemed like a steal for the price and i believe the drop seat can be added at a later date. Picking it up after work on Monday and pretty buzzing for it lol
