A cobbler is a good call though, I have used one in the past!

Looks so good!! Was it difficult to get the needle through the rubber part?

They haven’t gotten snagged or undone over the years and I’ve worn and washed and dried it countless times. I am still curious about what felling is and how it’s done? For future reference!

They’ve held up for 9 years as they are, and the polka dot fabric is nice and soft, so I’ve never been bothered by the edges :)

I think Sashiko would totally work here! Lay down new sturdy fabric on the inside of the part of the shirt that is thin and do lots of pretty stitches to keep the thin and damaged fabric down to the sturdy fabric. Just make sure the sturdy fabric extends far enough up the shirt so it is attached to a good portion that is thin or damaged!

I LOVE this idea so much! I use a flashlight when the power goes out, but it’s such a cold white light and it makes me feel like I’m waiting out something dire. Warm light would make such a difference, and fairy lights are so cheery!

Here I am 7 years later and I got a spam text from my friend’s number asking me to install it. It said:

“Hey, please put this app on your phone so I can send you quick video messages moremarcopolo dot com”

So sketchy!!!

You could do a pretty wrap with embroidery floss or yarn! Like this https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/s/acoHLcSVMo

Edit: this one even has a link to a paracord braiding tutorial that the OP used! https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/s/bgWEE8LpiX

Llamageddon might be my favorite campy “horror”

Love this comment 😂 “Ruined my day. Highly recommend it.”

I soak mine in hot water and borax! Works almost instantly if you swish them around in it. Wear gloves as borax is hard on the skin

The “ew” was disheartening, because I don’t think we should judge others or ourselves when our energy to clean falls short, but otherwise super satisfying to watch!

Excellent and thank you for getting the exact angles for the before and after! So satisfying to look at!!

I had to replace the clasps on my overalls and I bought mine from round-house.com

They were easy to replace because you can just use needle nose pliers to open up the clasp where it wraps around itself, slide it on, and clamp it back down! It takes a little elbow grease to open and then re-clamp, but very simple and very sturdy!

I hate the feel of acrylic unless it’s a velvet or chenille yarn!

Has anyone considered using a quilt rack for tossing clothes on? I don’t know if it will look better than the chairdobe, but it’s actually purposeful so maybe it is better? I’ve been thinking of getting a cheap quilt rack lol. Hooks and hangers are great, but the part of the habit I can’t break is the tossing part. I can’t reliably toss a shirt onto a hook lol.

But the basket plus chair means you can easily move the basket to sit in the chair, but your unconscious mind can still toss the clothes on the chair (but really in the basket lol).

I had to look it up because this is beautiful and I am brand new to quilting. The list of needed items says sewing machine, so I imagine it can be hand sewn or done by machine!

Something on the walls would really help I think! Would take away from the museum vibes. And if you can’t put holes in the walls, go for something very light like tapestries and use command hooks or other damage-free sticky hanging stuff. To make it look nice and not like a dorm wall hanging, you can buy thin dowel rods to attach to all four sides to hold them straight and taut.
