I saw them for the first time live 2 days ago and it’s the best concert I’ve ever been to.
They finally found their next talking point that they want to beat into the ground.
I genuinely enjoy it. It helps that I have no more aspirations of promoting though. It’s a rat race for those that want to continue into the higher ranks and it typically makes folks very bitter towards eachother from what I’ve seen.
I’ve heard nonstop about how they fall flat live. I don’t know what anyone else was listening to. The show last night was amazing.
Managed to get the poster but the shirt was sold out, weirdly enough.

This means you can plead your case, but your supervisors will have final say in terms of displaying a professional military appearance. I’d gather any references you can get for your case and take them to your immediate supervisor. Let them have the talk with the SNCO and say you’d be interested in the answer as well. Presenting it in a professional manner rather than just coming up with something that could be construed as being argumentative or petty will do a lot better for dealing with the personalities involved at higher ranks.

Treat everyone fairly and make decisions you can 100% stand behind and you’ll be fine. The Air Force is in a weird spot where despite it being the less rigid of the branches, the folks are miserable and think everything is bullshit anyway. At my level I try to mitigate the really silly stuff but at the end of the day I remind my guys we’ll have to do things we don’t want to because that’s the gig. I think they appreciate my candor while still being operationally effective.
