My first year emTMA is terrible

My first year eTMA is terrible

I'm about 1500 words from finishing my emTMA and I'm really not happy with it. It's honestly just a big pile of nonsense so far. Luckily I already have 49% score for the year so I've passed already but jeeeeeeez I'm struggling. Not even got a good excuse, I've just not put the work in before this TMA. Really disappointed in myself.

For me it's fits pretty good, but bike sizing is very personal. I looked at lots of YouTube videos and done other measurements on myself to make sure it was correct. You can always make a big bigger by adding a longer stem.

Yeah I did take a bit of a risk on the size. I've always had medium bikes but felt they were a bit too big for me. The smaller size gives me a more upright, comfortable position. Bicycle sizing is always a bit of a minefield though.

I bought this bike recently. For reference I'm about 5 foot 10/11 and got a size small and it fits me good. I may put a slightly longer stem on it though. The build quality is really strong and I do feel it would be able to tackle most of what is required of it. I plan on taking it through north france/ Belgium and Holland next year. I've not taken it on any long trips yet so can't comment on that aspect. For the price and the quality of the components I'd say it's the best bang for your buck currently.

Great to hear. I wasn't sure about what size to get. I'm 5' 10 so according to the giant website I should get a medium but opted for the small instead. I can always put a longer stem if it's too small. Not looking for anything too fast or racing. Comfort is key.

So True. Thought I had planned my last trip perfectly but unfortunately 40mph winds and torrential rain in August 2023 meant I had to cut it short.

Jusy bought a Giant Toughroad SLR1

Probably too late since I have already bought it but does anyone have any experience of this bike? Not too many reviews online that I can find. For the price I paid (£999) it seemed like the right time and price to get into bikepacking. Next year I'm going to take it to Belgium, North France and Holland for a week or so. (tried this trip last year but terrible weather and being underprepared made it a disaster)

Just bought a Giant Toughroad SLR1 Bike Tech and Kit

Probably too late since I bought it already but does anyone have any experience of this bike? Not too many reviews online. For the price I paid (£999) it seemed like the right time and price point to jump into bikepacking. Going to take it to Belgium, North France and Holland next year for a week (tried it last year but the weather and being underprepared made it a failure)

Can you look back at previous years module units?

I'm moving into 2nd year (part time) and wondering if the 1st year's units would still be available to view, just in case I needed to re-look up some information I may have missed.

What to expect at my first therapy session?

Next week I have my first therapy session. I'm seeking help in regard to myself having an utter distain for other people and general anxiety around strangers. What should I expect over the next few weeks and months at sessions and what sort of things should I be doing?

I want to become a PE teacher

I'm currently study E117 BSC(honours) Sport, Fitness and Coaching. I originally thought I wanted to go into performance coaching but now I'd like to become a PE Teacher once my degree is finished. Question is, do I continue doing this degree and if so, what do I need to do once I have finished it? Will I need to do a teaching degree afterwards? I live in Scotland if that helps or changes anything.

Thanks

Would having testicular cancer 8 years ago exclude me from Army Reserves?Question

I've been 8 years clear from stage 2 testicular cancer and get regular check ups every year. I've heard conflicting information regarding this. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

How do you work out your partners engagement ring size before proposing?

I'm going to be proposing to my girlfriend in the next few months but I have no idea how to work out her ring size, she doesn't wear rings so I can't use one that's lying around. Do you just take a wild stab in the dark and hope the one you buy fits? or is there some other way of working it out.
