Never realized Byrd was a michigander

Ah man, this reminds me of the old RT forums. Such a blast. I remember when the site merged (or added) all the broken lizard forum users.

So… why not just go higher? Does this even qualify for the world record?

Man, If only WB people paid taxes and this could be easily prevented, investigated, and cleaned, it would be so nice.

It is also a much different discussion (legally and ethically) on offering or not offering, verses removal of care (from ecmo)

Also, the legal aspect of “withdrawal of care” especially with ECMO is much more legally difficult than decision not to start/perform ECMO.

This seems like a HUGE aspect that already being difficult with full code autonomy with family members

But this is the problem with the whole story, using a non-medical terminology with “heart attack” makes the whole situation muddy. Heart attack, from a general definition, equates to MI which is coronary blockage. Non-MI conditions, like vfib or Takotsubo can look like a “heart attack” or “MI”, but is not in the definition one.

So yes, it is.

There’s literally definitions in different types of seizure activities by different types of seizures. This ain’t one.

Was there any game, movie, or other media you really wanted to make a prop or idea work, but never was able to make?

Thanks everyone for what you all have done! I only personally wish you all the best and hope you know that we all are so lucky to have had yall entertaining us for so long!

Aetna refused PM&R, PT/OT, critical care, and neuro recommendations for LTACH, because “no supporting recommendations”.

If there are no doctors in the ER, then there is no doctor in the ER. It doesn’t matter about speciality if there is physically no doctors in the ER. Other doctors in other services are not going to “go to the ER”.

Also how a lot of academic centers find payment for their physicians - using a third party to calculate median pay, and then using that as salary. Helps when all the centers pay the same to keep the salary the same.

The $120 SPGU for 2021-22 was worth it, tbh. Great pack at that price. Now? Wayyyyy too much.

I hate that we have to document “TNK” specifically in the note because “we don’t use TPA anymore”, even though I state that TPA is literally the class. But hey nurse administrators just give me a blank look and say “but we give TNK and not TPA. document it”.

Absolutely bonkers.

“Cute for cancer” hokay

Barrington apartments in WB was fantastic, may be a bit out of the way tho.

Oh man. Funhaus got me through Covid when I was working in the ICUs. Absolutely hope I can help in the same way at this time.
