I said petty queen. Important distinction between calling someone petty and a petty queen. His behavior was definitely that of a gay diva 😂

Everyone did NOT know and a lot of people were actually shocked when he passed away and there was gossip. Why are you lying? 😭

Did you miss the AIDS epidemic and how it impacted the social view of gay men in America or what? There’s plenty of documentaries on Youtube. What do you mean “Maybe the man just wanted to maintain his privacy” lmao. Like he had A CHOICE??? 😂

I wish they treated Left Eye better and supported her visions while she was alive. She was a genius and ahead of her time. If only she had real friends around her đŸ˜Ș

Whether he’s a legend or not is objective so I won’t argue that, but I do feel like Ushers music has declined over the years and Luther’s did not đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

Youre being a little bit dishonest about the state of the world now, and especially then. If most people didn’t care Luther would have been out and we wouldn’t have things like, say, someone passionately arguing against queerness in a comments section. For what reason? Why do you care so much to downplay his queerness? Does it bother you? 😂

A lot of people say homophobic things about Frank Ocean and do care. That was your best example??? 😭

“He didn’t make it his entire personality” meanwhile there are numerous stories of Luther being a petty queen behind the scenes. You know nothing 😂 I just wish he was able to say it himself and not have others speak for him đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

I don’t think she can’t sing, I think being in a toxic relationship takes away your confidence. Diddy didn’t want her to blossom and become strong or stable enough to leave him. She just got out of that relationship some years ago. It’s gonna take a long time for her to find herself outside of what happened to her. Wishing her all the healing ❀

We aren’t listening to R Kelly anymore girl
 Consider it skipped 😂

I really wish Luther got to be himself in his peak and I also wish he got to come out on his own terms instead of being outed by friends after his death. The last male legend in R&B đŸ˜Ș

Xtina is not an R&B singer by any means. She has a couple soulful cuts but that is pop music in every sense of the word.

Erhhhh I never said there wasn’t plenty of amazing R&B songs on the radio. I said it was harder for black people to be classified as anything but R&B. Getting a hit on pop radio didn’t change that it was “black music” to America unless you had a machine like Motown behind you. Reading is fundamental.

Chloe is an R&B singer. She’s just not going to sell a lot. Neither will Normani or Coco Jones or anyone else. Because R&B doesn’t sell. If Halle’s album is R&B it won’t sell much either. That’s just how the world is. We should stop trying to project these “breakouts” onto people who have chosen to rest comfortably in R&B music. Who’s to say Chloe hasn’t broken out? She’s doing pretty well for herself these past couple years and record sales haven’t changed her steady growth. If you don’t like her album, fair, but she’s definitely doing well for herself. Number 1 hit or not, success isn’t defined by one way of succeeding. I think Chloe has already broken out đŸ€·â€â™€ïž Let’s move on.

R&B also used to be called black music and before that it was called race music. It was an umbrella term for all music made by black people regardless of genre. There were many black artists with hit songs, but not many with hit records or “pop eras” for a long time. I wanna say towards the late 80s after Michael Jackson & Prince & Janet Jackson & Whitney Houston broke down color barriers black people started to be classified as other genres without having to be extremely polished acts like Motown. Janet Jackson is a great example of this because her music was R&B and hip hop fused but still on the pop charts. Before the 80s it was hard for black artists to transcend their race and only few managed to break that barrier, but afterwards it set a tone for the boom of R&B and Hip Hop in the 90s & early 2000s. Now, today, most forms of R&B are apart of Pop music and R&B can also be Pop(ular) though it hasn’t been selling much for awhile.

You don’t mean it respectfully. People who don’t care about equity are exactly the problem we have now today. You should definitely care about treating people fairly and equally, and letting people live their life.

She said a slur on a podcast and when called out for it she doubled down and said it again in a song and made a video of her gleefully repeating the slur. Very hateful and dark spirited. She also openly said she supports Trump cuz he got Kodak out of jail on a podcast and has “MASA” (Make america sexy again) hats at her concerts. Which, any black person can see how bad of a look that is. She’s a Republican.

No usually trans people don’t bully others they just want to exist in peace? Stop being weird.

Ban and block them. Period. No conversations or grace given.

I think the decline in black music is due to black artists caring too much about what people will say about them. Everyone is so worried about the comments section that they don’t wanna take risks or formulate an identity outside of vibe singing and rap. It has little to do with black owned labels tbh.

Even if she was talented supported Trump and bullying trans people is a chop đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

“She noticed Kelly was getting luxury cars and more money” When A.) That didn’t happen and B.) BeyoncĂ© was the one that spent her money on a car so that story isn’t even blaming the right person. And even so, as I said, BeyoncĂ© spent her money on what she wanted to. Nobody was given more money or luxury cars while others struggled.

And she wasn’t telling the truth either. They all got paid the same amount from the group and whatever Bey made came from her own deals she made alone as BeyoncĂ©. BeyoncĂ© cleared up that she spent her money on what she wanted and that happened to be a new car and nobody was given luxury cars while others were broke and struggling. So Letoya was not being honest and that’s okay. It’s been 20ish years and in the end neither Letoya or Latavia care much about that lawsuit because they know it was about hurt feelings and barely based in reality cuz if all of those things were true no way they would still talk to Bey today if she was this evil mastermind.

She need to sing her way into the garbage bin for supporting Trump & being transphobic 👎
