Omg thank for saying this! I’ve never made it before but…it sounds like I may need to change my plan 😂 I normally don’t cook with “cream of” so I was also planning on making a game time decision about whether to thicken alternatively or use the soup but I guess it doesn’t matter. I also am a big fan of Cozy Cook, I wonder if this one just doesn’t have enough flavors going on. I’m back to the drawing board!!!

Indeed it is salad season and I am making one of my favorites this week! Unfortunately, I prefer salads that require a bazillion ingredients and homemade dressing so they end up being as much, if not more, work than a hot meal.

Sunday: filets, loaded twice baked potatoes, roasted squash and zucchini, fresh sourdough, and New York cheesecake for dessert

Monday: Crispy Chicken Carnitas Tacos with Avocado Cilantro Lime Dip

Tuesday: Creamy Ranch Chicken, roasted baby gold potatoes, broccoli, bread

Wednesday: White Bean and Sausage Skillet, subbing spinach for kale, bread

Thursday: Cilantro Lime Chicken Taco Salad with Creamy Baja Catalina Dressing, bread

Friday: Crockpot Sweet and Spicy Pulled Pork, Mac and cheese, broccoli salad, fresh bread (I love this broccoli salad but whew, gotta go easy on the shallots because they will light you up)

Saturday: out, maybe sushi

I don’t know what the opposite of “muffin top” is called, but this is it.

This comment is snarking on Lauren’s apparent idea that a size 10 is heavy/not ideal. There was lots of discussion and screen shots about it recently here.

Yes, she mentioned before the baby was born that they were having a night nurse.

I am definitely going to look into others by this author because I was just so excited about how much I loved Lady Tan!

“Lady Tan’s Circle of Women”: guys, what a gem! After the death of her mother, Lady Tan begins learning medicine from her grandmother at a young age, which was very taboo in late 1400’s China. She goes on to be a doctor for women (her best friend is a midwife and they have periods of being able to work together) and endures allllll the trials, tribulations, and successes that come along not only with doctoring, but with being a (elite) woman in 1400’s China period. All the different customs, beliefs, and approaches to medicine were so interesting. I really enjoyed this one. 4.5/5

“Only if You’re Lucky”: Alas, you read a good one and the universe has to follow it with a disappointment. I was on the wait list at the library for this book for a month and it was so terrible. It’s about a group of college student friends, one of whom ends up missing, one of whom ends up dead, and another of whom is grieving the mysterious death of her best friend from back home the year prior. The characters were all unlikeable, many of them also weak and naive. Way too much synonym usage, it was twice as long as it should have been, and extremely repetitive. I kept at it because I just expected it to turn a corner and get better but nope. The whole thing annoyed me. Would skip. 2/5

She does not say anything about other parts of the world having “newer, advanced chemical filters” (I’m not disagreeing with the truth of that, but she does not say that). She says “I can’t use chemical sunscreen, I can only use mineral sunscreen, except sometimes that leaves a white cast, but I tried this Korean sunscreen that is my new holy grail and the US hasn’t had a new sunscreen formula in 25 years! The US treats sunscreen like a drug and Europe and Asia treat it like makeup and Europe and Asia have way better stuff!” Not a mention of the fact that what she purchased is chemical sunscreen and why that chemical sunscreen is not an irritant for her. And this is why she has no business being a “skinfluencer.”

On the mobile app, when you go to make a comment or reply to a comment, there’s a little chain looking thing on the left side, second icon from the left. When you click on it, you can put the name of your recipe where it says “link name” and then add the URL to the recipe in the box underneath that.

It’s been a while since I’ve made this but it is good. It falls under “minimal oven time” and it looks like a lot of steps but it helps if you make the strawberry puree and crumbles ahead of time. Strawberry Shortcake Freezer Pie

Another option I’ve made more recently is this Strawberry Lemon Mascarpone Mousse. I’ve made it/served it as is and I’ve also made it as a trifle with pound cake, or angel food would be good too (which would require baking if you made your own but you could get a pre made one from your favorite bakery!)

Not to mention the fact that she filters her face into oblivion anyway. Her unfiltered skin looks terrible. Then she wants to go on about how she has sensitive skin and can’t use chemical sunscreen on her face, only mineral sunscreen (me too), but joke’s on her because her new “holy grail” is chemical sunscreen. A know-it-all that can’t read an ingredient list apparently.

Sunday: Pesto Chicken Saltimbocca with Burst Tomatoes and Burrata, for some reason I’m struggling with a side dish here—I’m going to roast the tomatoes instead of doing them in a pan and then I think I’m going to cook some spaghetti and toss it with the tomatoes…

Monday: Sheet Pan Meatballs with Tomato Salad and Green Sauce (cheating and using TJs chimichurri)

Tuesday: Stuffed shells I froze a while back because I have to go in to work

Wednesday: Starbucks egg bites, hash browns, biscuits, fruit salad

Thursday: Chick fil a Market Salad, bread

Friday: French Bread Pizzas

Saturday: Leftover Pot Roast Beef Stroganoff over egg noodles, roasted veggies, bread

This is what Ms. Rachel would wear if she wanted to spice up her wardrobe.

I’ve ordered from Yesstyle and never had an issue.

That’s because it’s a filter 😂

Talking about the new robe that was sent to pardonmuahinsta, and I quote: “I love the color.”

Well I’ve read The Lies That Bind and Escape Room but now I’ve added all the rest of these to my TBR list. Every one looks like a winner, thank you for sharing!!!

Yeah, it almost looks like a lap pool to me, like one of those that shoots water at you and you swim against it for exercise, but I doubt this one does that. I’m a go-big-or-go-home pool person, but as hot as it gets, I think it’s fine for a small backyard (or in this case, a large backyard made smaller by wanting to keep an existing structure).

According to the caption on her post, it’s because they wanted to keep the existing pergola and it appears that they would not have been able to do that if the pool was bigger, or they would lose patio space for outdoor dining and lounge chairs.

The first time I made that I was like ??? Wow have I been missing out! 😂 so easy and aside from the mushrooms, I typically have everything to make it. I still definitely recommend the chicken parm sandwich if you get around to it, pro tip though: toast the hoagie bun a little bit first and then add the chicken, toppings, and finish baking. Keeps the bread from getting too wet!

Just when you think she can’t get any more insufferable, she does a “what’s in my bag” that appeared to be nothing but a reason to show off (and tag) her new LV bag and Gucci sunglasses, two smaller LV bags, and a Chanel wallet lest we forget that she is a ~chic rich lady~. Fascinating.

Agreed! I know it’s for the thrill, whodunnit, whatever, but at some point you’re scratching your head trying to place each character as a scene is described.

I also thought the audiobooks were good and I’ve almost been more engaged with listening than actually reading lately. A good narrator makes all the difference!

I love the Marlow Murder Club! Looking forward to the third book this summer. I’ve never heard of the Kate Hamilton series but will definitely look into that one because I hate the thought of not having a UK mystery to be read, I’ve gotten really into them! There’s something oddly soothing about them for me, as weird as that sounds.
