Another semi related question... I have some substrate sitting in a bucket from my last round of tubs. There's not even enough for a cake, so I need to make more. Can I just make the new CVG mixed in the same bucket with the substrate that's been sitting for a few weeks? Or should I start in a new bucket? Does it make a difference

Something that's interesting is when I sobered up the next day, I listened to them some more. Someone had made a video of visualizations to the are you sphongled playlist... And it really tripped me out to see that what they visualized was soooooo similar to what I saw when I had my eyes closed listening to it.

Sphongle absolutely BLEW my mind the first I heard them after taking LSD. It still is my favorite ever trip and all I did was lay in my bed with my eyes closed and the lights off listening to them.

I innoculated on 3/23/24

I flipped the lid once I started fruiting conditions. It was closed and latched the whole time until then.

I put 2 quart jars in the tub and mixed in CVG till it was about 3 inches deep. I added a little bit of CVG on top just to cover the surface when I made my tub.

Thanks for asking! I made my own grain jars and followed PGT's broke boi tek. Unmodified shoebox. I started fruiting after the surface was fully colonized. I did fan a few times a day after that. Didn't have to mist. Stargazers from LC. :) got another batch of jars colonizing too from grain to grain!

Thank you seriously so much everyone! I'm so shocked I actually accomplished this. Sooo happy, I can't wait to harvest the rest of the tubs! I'll update when everything's done. Found such a fun hobby, bringing me so much joy- I love talking about and spending time doing now!

If that's the best way to do it, I'll go ahead and start dehydrating tonight. Sooo many are so close though, like I may have to harvest a majority of not all tomorrow and fridat. So I thought waiting may be best. But thanks for the input I'll just start tonight. Btw- love your username lol

Super interesting, I'll be keeping an eye out for an update on the future about your experiment. That's one of the things I've been wanting to look into- mixing LCs and creating new strains, how all that works. I want to start agar work next! But my list of mushy supplies I want is forever growing lol. Good luck to you too with all your endeavors!

I'm growing stargazers as my first grow. They've been easy for me as a beginner. I have some lions mane jars colonizing too. Wanna try out some kind of albino next time. Are you growing any different kinds or just more GT for now?

I wanted to share my very first grow so far, stargazers. I am learning first hand how fast mushys grow. Once pins formed, feels like they double in size everyday. It's been amazing to watch :) also super proud of myself for getting this far. I have 12 more jars colonizing. Including some lions mane, excited to dabble into gourmet too
