A simple exit strategy that I might actually be able to pull off📚 Possible DD

If we sell on the way down, there will be no way down.

Just up.

Fluff intro

In january I had to google how to buy a share. You think that's a joke. It's not.

Obviously I have learned a lot since then, but I have never actually sold any share - I only know hodling, so this is pretty new for me too and I hope I get it all right. That's why I post this as possible DD.

I'm too stupid to get crayons so I eat the crumbs from the cracks of my keyboard.

Why

If you are smart or you're looking for a good exit strategy, you should better look over here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DDintoGME/comments/n69qhp/compilation_of_moass_and_exit_strategy_dds_and/

u/gherkinit's exit strategy is probably the best one: https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/nogxnr/infinity_war_the_final_exit_dd_compilation/

I am not actually stupid, but stock markets are not my profession and most of the time I feel way over my head: excited and a little scared, just as a good adventure should feel like.

I have never seen a chart that wasn't manipulated because $GME is my first and only. I don't know how triangles or wedges normally develop, so I can't rely on something I have trained a hundred times. I think Elliot Waves are impressive, but I don't really get them. I have read the existing exit strategies, and you should, too!

But I don't really trust my ability to do any of them in a high stakes, high emotions situation.

I need an exit strategy that reflects that. I don't want to maximize my gains. I don't want to time the peak perfectly. I don't want to constantly check where the current floor is and if we're above it.

I just want to be able to pull it off. So it has to be ape proof.

This is my write-up so that I have a reference.

Infinity Squeeze

When I say we're going "just up" I'm only half joking.

If our assumption is correct that we own more than the float, and we don't sell until the price goes down, then the shorts can't be covered. The bid price is rising, but we don't sell because we're not behind the peak. So the bid is rising further.

Maybe sell a share at $30 trillion or so while we're still climbing? Honestly, when we arrive there you won't need an exit strategy. I'll still call you a paperhanded bitch though.

I guess at some point someone would have to admit that we have won capitalism and our civilization levels up or so.

But we lack the information and the coordination to do it, so we can't be responsible for that. Someone smart will have to come up with a creative solution.

"Just" a regular big fat squeeze

Obviously that's a pretty big assumption for the infinity squeeze, and just in case it isn't, I still want to be able to get tendies. So I think it's important to have different exit strategies depending on how this thing unfolds.

The following is basically a write-up of the picture that we've hopefully all seen by now: https://i.redd.it/36icyd5tuhz61.jpg

What I like most about it is that it doesn't prevent the infinity squeeze. So I don't have to choose between the two. I can just wait and see how it develops.

If this turns out to not be a literal infinity squeeze, then I assume that hedgies will have lost the ability to manipulate the price once we're above $10,000 or maybe $20,000. Then only the covering machines of the margin callers are active and my guess is that massive fluctuations will be unusual.

  • When a massive drop happens (20%, 30% or 50%) I'll sell a fraction of my shares if the price is not just an insult.
  • If I have one share, that's it. I take my gains and live happily ever after. I won't look back and feel bad that I didn't sell sooner. Or later.
  • If I have more than one share, I will have sold only a fraction - 30%, 50% or 69% (nice). That's cool, because maybe the prices rise unexpectedly again!
  • Then I just repeat the same procedure until I have only 20% of my original shares left [Infinity Pool explained].

I won't sell these out of spite 🤗

Actionable exit strategy

Prepare by choosing the necessary percentages. For this example, I'll use

  • a price drop of 50% is a sell-signal
  • each time I'll sell 30%
  • I'll put 20% into the infinity pool

This will result in:

  1. if at a high price (above $10,000,000) the price dips by 50%, I'll sell 30% of my shares and have 70% left.
  2. I take a note of the sell price so I don't forget it
  3. I take a break. Go to the loo, drink some water, scream "I'M FUCKING RIIIICH", just the normal stuff.
  4. I go back to the charts and check what's going on.
  5. If I have more than 20% of my original share amount left, I'll start all over: GOTO 1.If not, I'll take my gains and go. I will not linger and beat myself up because someone else got more money.

Once more, with example numbers

If I start with 80 shares, I'll keep 16 shares forever.

This will be my sell action on big dips:

  • I have 80 shares, so I sell 24 shares and have 56 left.
  • I have 56 shares, so I sell 16 shares and have 40 left
  • I have 40 shares, so I sell 12 shares and have 28 left
  • I have 28 shares, so I sell 8 shares and have 20 left
  • I have 20 shares, so I sell 4 shares and have 16 left. These are for the infinity pool
Order types

Hell if I know.

I am too stupid to use anything but limit orders. I'm selling on the way down, so my limit must be a bit below the current price.

For a proper rundown, I think u/jsmar18 has something in the pipeline.

Final words

This is probably a stupid exit strategy.

But it has the invaluable advantage of being simple enough for me to understand and to pull it off. No triple checking of VWAP (or was it RSI?). No need to see which Elliot Wave we're currently riding. I'll try to do those, but this here is my fallback.

It's ape proof.

If you are normal, then you'll already have a good strategy. This here is just mine. You can use it or you can invent your own, I don't care. Just switch up the numbers to make it less obvious 😂

This is the good picture: https://i.redd.it/36icyd5tuhz61.jpg (I found it without attribution, so I don't know who made it.)

TL;DR

But I will sell a few shares when I feel a painful bump in the price

Hey, I had to step back due to mental health issues. I'm getting better, but I fear that returning to the community will not be good for me. So right now I'm mostly supporting the current mod team with the bots and occasionally I'm lurking around.

Daily moving so fast, nobody's gonna see my jacked tits

Sorry, but we seem to be talking about different things. While it's true that using VIA, the current configuration on the keyboard can be changed, OP's question was if the macros, keyboard layout etc would remain if they use the same keyboard on a different computer.

So unless they omitted the part where they change the configuration using VIA while switching the computer, I assume that they would keep using whatever is already stored on the keyboard. Am I misreading the question?

Sorry to hear about your dog - I hope I don't get disqualified for having a dog name

What do you mean? In comments, here in the daily?
We made some experiments with images in comments, and while it was a lot of fun, it's an insane amount of work to moderate them, so probably not. But if you want, I can take the suggestion to the team 💜
