The Supreme Court ruled (6-3) that the President has immunity from prosecution on official acts committed as President.

This comes from one of Trump's cases where his lawyers argued that a President should have immunity from official acts while being President. I believe it's the case with the fake elector scheme and Jan 6th. Trump planned to send official election results back to certain states where they set up fake, pretend electors that would decide that Trump won their state (when he didn't, ignoring the actual results and the real electors).

The reason why its a big deal is you have to ask... what counts as an official act now? In the arguments presented to the Supreme Court, one example was assassinating a political rival, is this an official act now? The fake electors scheme was insane, are these now official acts?

They seem to have made this decision just to save Trump's ass, but the consequence of this ruling is we have zero clue how far someone will take this power. Remember, I'm just some rando on reddit but I think I have the basics down.

I saw some vids from earlier in the day, they had media in between those barriers. It could be for that.

I can see that, probably just to keep tourists and a few random protesters away from the building.

I agree, they can tie against Brazil one day (scrape by, but still) and lose 5-1 to Colombia another.

Mexico on the other hand... Ugh. They have talent, they've produced some elite youth teams and then they disappear. I've seen a few people talk about this being one of their biggest issues, developing talent from 18-23. Instead of sending those players overseas to face better competition and get more playing time... They get paid a ton to stay in Liga MX for garbage time and meh competition.

I don't know how true this is, but it seems like there is a lot of wasted talent.

The "we did something stoopid" barriers. lol

My line to people who sound like they skipped 2016 and bitch about RBD, "if RBD was there the day before the election, you have to use your head and assume she's gonna be there the day after"

Also, she should have bounced, but WAY earlier. The Senate was under Republican control for the last 2 years of Obama's 2nd term.

USMNT has been improving tho. They're probably hyping themselves too much, but they're gonna be fine going into 2026. They messed up this tournament against Panama, a game they should've won. It sucks, but there's something to look forward to.

Mexico has issues that go beyond talent and coaching. There is no reason why, in a world with fewer a-holes, Mexico shouldn't be ranking top 10 every year as an elite defensive team.

It feels like they haven't hit rock bottom yet. 😬

Sounds like you ain't ready for that convo, young blood. 🙃

Pshhh, Real ones know it's Taft, but y'all ain't ready for that convo.

Lol

But does it have to be a Dion Waiters quote. I'm pretty sure Kobe said something similar lol

He's going fo the Obama gameplan, lose the first, then win. lol

I dunno, maybe its the crowd.

We will see a post-debate panel of undecided morons, I mean, voters.

It's the first segment: https://youtu.be/Af8B1M7jFqI?si=0obaCkAsTHeW1wTY

Take suggestions for a future version 2.0?

David describes Trump as being swollen, sweaty, and with one eye almost completely shut.

David: "Alright let's go to ....oh, I don't know..." (He isn't going to do calls anymore so maybe not)

Well... That sucks. What a waste of talent. Even though he went crazy I was excited about him taking huge fights when the division is loaded.

I'm surprised by the number of people defending this (not here, on IG and other places). He starts acting crazy and gets rewarded for it.

I hope he gets back and fights clean. He's too talented to be doing this.

Just saw it.

I remember Obama at basketball games and Bush at Texas Rangers games. Maybe I can't complain too much, but the difference with Trump is that he's at every PPV event.

I was more interested in the manosphere topic. It always smelled to me like a right wing recruiting tool for young men.

It's tough to watch UFC fights these days, every post-fight interview I expect some crazy shit to be said lol.

They came to David and said, "sir, with tears in our eyes, may we use a clip from your show on our program?"

I just saw it. Very strong and powerful stuff.

What a circus all this has become. It's as if people have just started watching sports.

Hard fouls happen, welcome to the league moments happen, "this is your rookie star? Let me rough them up" moments happen. The main ball-handler getting fouled moments happen (and are a good thing for the ball-handler).

Go Sparks!

Enjoy the game.
