Pretty sure I fought him outside of pyramid, in Invasions. But anyhow the screen must have come from an early dev build so any stage set up was possible, but it explains the portrait.
You can fight him in invasions, and those characters have unique portraits.
Rift is a massive waste of time. I just do the dailies that require them and move on...I can just wait for the character get him then if I want. Time is money.
There’s no indication how the characters are going to be bundled. But i think it’s safe to assume the guests are going to be split into different smaller packs like Aftermath and KP2 for MK11.

I think Interloko made this video more complicated than it needed to be….and confused everyone lol. He doesn’t confirm any character beyond the cyborgs, noob and the guests in the video.
I remember they did this for the first one.
I imagine future characters will follow a similar pattern to season 1. One tied to rifs, one tied to the battle pass, one readily available but costs 6000 fighter coins each season.

Dunno…I feel like Shang will be the last, he’s the final boss and also ends KP1. They also started to just throw OoD skins in chests and there were very few left.
The question is now...will they reduce exp earned from future missions?
We’re running out of OoD skins for the bosses and KL, I figured invasions would rotate after KP1 anyways.

Strange, I got the silver from a fatality (using kenshi) Switched to Rain and only got the gold after a all other palettes.
Really hoping we finally get cosmetic loadouts with the next patch.
