Agree. The showrunners were over the project and were eager to move on to something else. Changing the trajectory of bran, Arya, and jon is unforgivable lol. Their characters all deserved better stories.

My wish is first and foremost season 7 ended with the battle against the dead, and with Jon saving the world as it should’ve been lol.
Then they should’ve spent the entirety of season 8 on Dany trying to rally all the houses against Cersei and one by one getting disappointed. Let down. Or betrayed. That would’ve been plenty of content to fill 7 episodes and To only culminate in the final 8th episode with Dany losing her mind and having drogon carry out the destruction of kings landing and the decision to assassinate her solely coming from Jon and not some suggestive lectures from his friends and family.
