Hello Dungeon Dwellers,
DETAILS:
Date: From May 7th 2024 - Oct 1st 2024
When: 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Where: Hex & Co. Upper East Side
STORY:
This campaign will be a classic 5e style game with very few teeny tiny quality of life homebrew mechanical elements (i.e. drinking a potion as a bonus action)
As it's my first campaign, I want to honor the DnD universe and the story will take place in the land of Faerûn in during "The Founding Time" in the year -7444 DR. This was a postwar age, where the humanoid races began founding new realms after thousands of years of elvish wars had fractured societies. I'm playfully naming the campaign: "Court of the Scavenger"
There will be many classic DnD adventures and tropes but also a focus on city building, and potentially too much about agriculture. (I'm sorry, I like... really dig crops?)
PLAYERS:
I'm looking for 3-4 players with any level of experience but are really committed to attendance and focusing on story telling and roleplay. I'd say 70% Roleplay, 30% combat, no need to min max abilities or anything like that. My only hard and fast rule will be that the characters you make will need to be of good or of neutral alignment - I just don't find a truly evil player character that compelling.
I'll set an arbitrary age limit of 22+
Rating: PG-13 - There will be some action movie level violence and adult themes, but no descriptions of gore and while unplanned any romance it's more fade to black, wink wink sitcom style. Your character can die, but I wouldn't expect them to.

Background about the DM:
Inspired by my love of BG3, I've recently gotten into DnD and started a few campaigns and one shots as a player these past few months and I have decided that I have just enough experience and content written to start my own campaign. Likely I'll make some mistakes!
I'm David[He/Him] a 33 year old, married, marketer/writer who doesn't take himself too seriously, and is often described as silly, and good natured. I have never really dabbled in the realm of fantasy writing and I've had a lot of fun working on characters and tales from the land of Faerûn, and I'm excited to share what I've got.
This is my first time running a campaign which is why I wanted to have only a few players, and set a clear end date, so I can learn about pacing, and experiment with some cool storytelling elements. If I really enjoy it, I'll consider running my next campaign with more homebrew elements and at a grander scale.
Liquid core looks awesome
