Actually working fast food and doing doordash. I can tell you once it is sent to the tablet it confirms it its self sets a time and send it to a driver. The store half the time doesn't even touch the tablet or anything to mark it confirmed the app does it itself.

And that will get someone deactivated with the new completion rate change. They raised it to 90 so for every 10 orders in 100 can put someone at risk of deactivation.

I turned it off when it started just for the fact I don't carry cash with me. that's the safest way to do it I use my red card and that's it I don't carry cash so I don't do cash orders. Plus I don't have to owe doordash money and have to dash to pay off the money no I'd rather just earn my earnings and be done with it. not pay anything off because I take a cash order.

This was posted a day ago there for it was Sunday. Since when do kids have school on sunday. And maybe the kid wanted to help chill out people. I agree if its busy and your have decent orders if you cant handle it then go get the adult that is suppose to be doing the job.

Yes if it isn't a restaurant or dashmart then most likely the dasher will have to shop for it. It takes a lot of our time and a lot of people don't tip on shop and delivers. even though we are doing more work then just picking up food and delivering it. I have a certain criteria to accepting a shop and deliver just for this purpose I don't do many of them because of it.

They actually do background check. They do it when you sign up by using your license and they usually get the results right away and they do random checks too. ive had them verify me and run the back ground twice in the last year. And they run a bmv check each time.

Damn 30+ dollar orders I want those I've had a 46 order once and it told me +$6 add on delivered a catering order to a college swim team and got a 46 tip it was a add on so no base

Door dash has been sucking lately. Its spring break where i am so its very slow everyone is out of town. I had to step back cause it became not worth my time I use to average 20 a HR now im lucky to get 10 to 15 an hour if im lucky. Ive been doing this for over 2 years now started out as a full time gig was making good money now its a side gig for extra cash.

Working fast food and being a dasher, I see how long food sits before getting picked up by dashers. some orders even get thrown away from not being picked up. I've seen orders with ice cream in it just sit till it is picked up... We have no way to keep it cold or frozen after it is made. And we have to make the orders are we receive them we cant wait till the dasher gets there. Having a insulated bag will do nothing for those orders. Your food is already cold and melted. I don't even carry an insulated bag no restaurant in my market have signs like this and i wont take pizza orders they are always no tip or 2.00 tip no thank you. I stopped carrying a bag when my 4th one fell apart from condensation and wear and tear. Never get a complaint and have great ratings so ill just stick to what im doing.

I am here to follow because i am having the same problem only we have no supportive family. Its me 34 (cis) my partner 33 (MTF) and our 2 wonderful boys against the world it feels like. Her family is 100% religious and my family is transphobic pretty much my partner wont even go to family things anymore. Its like i have 2 separate lives. So definitely following.

My first month of dashing I was sent a order from cvs picked up plan B for someone.

If i got orders like that from papa johns id actually take them around here. they either wont tip or its a low tip every time, and I wont take them not worth the wait.

I am in the exact same boat as you only mine thinks boy mode is not an option though, But cant afford surgeries either. She has been on hrt for 6 or 7 months now and it isn't seeming easier i am the only support system she has. She really wants to get her name changed and gender change for social security for her safety. It is becoming unsafe in my state. They are trying to pass bills that will stop her from getting her name and gender changed. She does wear a lot of dresses and leggings and long flowing tops that seems to help.

I habe never been asked to pay out of pocket and my answer would be no they dont pay enough to use my owm money ill unassisgn and move on

Yea I would of told you no you should of ordered at the speaker.

Yea you do that at the McDonalds I work at ill tell you go back in line like everyone else or unassign the order your choice.

Working at a McDonald's and being a Dasher myself if you come through my McDonald's line and you don't tell us your number at the speaker then I will make you pull back around and tell us your number at the speaker so you're not ruining our times after a certain time of night you got to wait in line like everybody else earlier tonight I got hit with seven doordashes at once all seven doordashers came to pick up at once I literally had nothing but door Dashers in my line but if you pull up to my window and I don't have your number on my screen I will tell you to go back around you should have told him the number at the speaker you got to go through my system so they know the order was actually picked up and we know it was picked up

It doesn't notify the driver anymore it use to say order as been changed but it doesn't anymore. unless you messaged the driver directly about the missing side he shouldn't of been notified. unless it did mark it as undelivered then it will stop him from trying to get back on to dash again until he disputes it. it should of given you a choice for a app credit or card refund for a portion of the order if they gave you a full refund then it was reported as not delivered at all. But he shouldn't of came back to your door either that is scary.

I got one last week papa johns I was sitting in the parking lot waiting on orders. told me it was a $8 for 2 miles it ended up being $22 had a 20 tip on it it was 14 pizzas and 10 cheese sticks and a bag of sauces it went to a nursing home for a party. I have also had one was a $6 add on for like a extra mile was $46 ended up being a catering size order for a college swim team from noodles and company.

I work at McDonalds when we get the order is when they send for a dasher. The orders pop on our screen as they come in. If we have 10+ orders already placed it is put in line as it comes in so it will be 10 orders behind coming out we don't have delivery on a separate make screen or anything like that it gets made in the order it is in our screen. I work over nights and dashers even have to wait on orders some times. The orders go straight to our order screens the only time we mess with the tablet is if the order didn't get sent to kitchen and we have to make the order from the tablet once the dasher gets there and we notice we don't have the order at all then we go to our tablet.

The unassigne without penalty doesn't pop up unless you have a stacked order or wait more then 10 minutes I believe I had a stacked order the other day and the first pick up was the shake they ordered and the add on order I got same drop off had a 10-15 minute wait at wing stop i messaged the customer letting them know I had both orders and the food was a 10-15 min wait it still had 3 orders in front of it to even get started. Dude never messaged back so I waited that pour shake and it was a hand it to me. But pay was great the order combined turned out to be $13 for 2 miles :)

Being a manager at a restaurant that does doordash and being a dasher myself. When orders come in doordash instantly sends out for a dasher and marks the order ready themselves. The restaurant doesn't control that at all. The order is put in line with other orders to be made. It starts getting made when they get to the order on the screen or ticket. at my restaurant we will get dashers not even 5 mins after we get the order. If you have to wait for the order you know it will be fresh for the customer. Ill have orders sit for a hour or more before getting picked up i know those are the no tippers. But the marking it ready and it not being ready is not the restaurants fault that is on doordash.

I have yet to see anything like it more and more restaurants are making me type in the last 3 like mcdonalds orders but not taking pics of the receipt

I am a dasher and the driver was a jerk I would of gladly taken it to your door. Especially for you to give that generous of a tip for that short of distance. In my area im lucky to get a decent tip even added. And fir the guy to be sitting in a ally? Like at least be standing by the door or something dude was being lazy and a super jerk.
