Yeah, I heard it was good but I was going to NYC a month later so I decided to save my money and see Titanique instead (along with a few others).

Agreed! The story behind Betty Boop is interesting but I could have easily seen the musical last summer in Chicago but decided it wasn’t really worth my money.

…you go nuts

As someone who just gutted and renovated a kitchen (and bathroom) that had a WAY worse layout I’m now intrigued. I’ve been wanting to buy in Riverwest and if the kitchen is its only major flaw my husband we may need to snap this up.

We do most of the work ourselves (with a few friends and family members) so we kept the last kitchen renovation to $6k including cabinets, counters, and new appliances. This kitchen looks double the size of my old one.

Recently, every show that comes to Milwaukee’s “Marcus Performing Arts Center” has had TERRIBLE sound mixing. I’m so glad I knew the words to “Come From Away” a few years ago because my parents had no idea what was going on (the accents didn’t help).

I’ve never heard “Arson” or actually “Ant” for that matter, but I’ve met so many enbies named “Cricket.”

Yeah, I’ve only ever met people named “Genevieve,” never “Geneva.” But I’ve heard the name twice (once was on Drag Race, “Geneva Karr”).

Gay bars are dead? You’ve clearly never been to Milwaukee. Another gay bar just opened.

Hello, fellow Librarian! I have identified as a reader forever and this podcast has just solidified that.

Thankfully it was a very small one. I wanted no one there but my husband wanted family so we just did dinner with our immediate family and we got married by a friend while we were standing next to the table.

I hit the jackpot. I’m the first non-female person my husband has ever been with (I say non-female cause I consider myself a gender queer dude/person, I hate the word “man,” cause my brain can’t separate it from the toxicity that came with people always telling me I had to “act like a man”). So, he didn’t have a lot of the anti-femme energy that a lot of gay dudes have, being socialized as a straight guy and coming out as pan at 28. I had dated one other guy who didn’t mind my clothing, but my husband was fully embracing, even going so far as to buy my dresses and skirts for our first Christmas together, 6 months in.

At our wedding I wore a really flowy jumpsuit, big pussy bow blouse, and a tulle duster. My husband was crying telling me how beautiful I was. He won’t even call me “handsome” accidentally anymore.

When he told me he was going to move back to his old apartment 90 minutes away to be near me (we met 6 months after he moved away from where we live now) and to go back to a job he worked at for 7 years before quitting (for very good reasons).

The other reason was the first time I wore clothes that truly were “me” on a date. On first dates I usually didn’t wear dresses, skirts or more feminine clothing, I just usually brought it up on the second date to gauge reactions. I didn’t even bring it up to him, I just showed up in a dress and he said, “wow you look beautiful,” and that I looked like I was so truly happen in those clothes, more so than traditionally masculine clothing.

Soooo jealous! I want to hang out with Brittany Broski!

“The Firekeeper’s Daughter” by Angeline Boulley. An incredibly thrilling book that contains such an interesting and compelling look into life on a Native American reservation and the complications between tribal members and the US government. The focus on community and tradition is just so cool, and it’s sandwiched perfectly into a really great mystery.

I’ve got Death’s Door!!! I don’t have Fever Tree currently, but I’ll definitely grab some. I’ve got a few random tonics but none I love too much.

Girl none of the queens wrote their own jokes.

Ps. Some professional comedians have writers, so I don’t know what you think you’re getting at.

In addition to all the awesome episodes, but I’ve already been named, I love “HEY! You Famous?” with Andrew Ahn & Joel Kim Booster. It’s an ep where they talk about their movie, “Fire Island,” and as someone who really loved the film, I really appreciated this episode.

What?!? Do you just make a G&T and add a scoop of that ice cream? Sounds heavenly!

I had similar feelings, but I went with a friend so she could buy a futon and we had the best time and the futon she got is soooo good! Plus, 4 other people came in to buy futons in the time we were there and 2 of them purchased them before my friend finally made a decision.

I also live around the corner and think the same thing all the time! I went in out of sheer curiosity once and never again. Tbh “Crabbys” was the perfect name.

Such a lazy joke. Not even remotely funny.

Yeah, Nikki Glaser has a team that helps her write roast jokes. I was just listening to a podcast and they were talking about her specifically having a team.

I don’t know if I need to learn from people who call queer people pedophiles and think that sexual assault is totally okay. I think they need to learn human decency and respect for other people.

This is my usual answer, too!
